Ch.7: Why?

I get up and hop into my clothes. It's Friday. A bunch of the guys have been acting really weird lately. It went like this, One of them would get sick and not go to school for like a week. Then, they would just avoid me and the rest of the guys and start being, as Jake says, "Sam's deciples". It's really getting on my nerves. And one day Embry came back and he had a tatoo. My mom was furious. He has been grounded for so long. And he keeps coming home really late, wich results in more grounding. it really worries me and Mom. but she overreacts more. She thinks he's sneeking out to parties, doing drugs. I tink hes too smart for that. Hes probably just trying to clear out his head.

*2 months later*

I was sitting on the couch waiting for Jacob when i get a text.

Jacob: Hey Lexi. i cant Pick you up today. I'm sick. I'm really sorry.

Lexi: it's okay. I'll just ask Leah to pick me up.

Jacob:K babe. Bye. ;D

Lexi: Bye :P

I call Leah and she comes and picks me up.

Later I decie to go to Jacob's and see if he's okay. I braught him some soup and movies to cheer him up. Whenever either one of us ever got sick we wold go over and bring the other soup and movies.

*knock knock knock*

Billy answers the door.

Billy- "Hello Lexi."

Lexi- "Hi Billy. Is Jake up?

Billy- "Yes, He's up but he has a really contageous Flu so no one can see him now."

Lexi- "Oh, okay. Well, can you give him these for me? I just wanted to cheer him up with some soup and movies."

Billy- "I'll do that. Bye Lexi"

Lexi- "Bye Billy, Thanks and tell Jake I said Hey"

Billy-" Will do"

*1 week later*

I get home and start my homework when i get a text

Jacob: Lexi, can you meet me by my house in a few.

Lexi: Sure I'll be right over.

I quickly put my pen down and head out the door. Wen I get to Jake's he comes up to me and gives me a big, passionet kiss. But I can tell somethings wrong because he was a little forcefull and he seemed disstracted.

Lexi- "Hey Jakey," I notice he got a hair cut it actually looks really nice, "Nice haircut."

Jacob- "I'm so sorry lexi." he looked like he'd been crying.

Lexi- "Jake... What happened"

Jacob- "I'm sorry. I never wanted it to be this way but..." he let out a shaky breath.

Lexi-"What are you talking about Jake?"

Jacob-"I'm sorry lexi, this isn't gonna work."

Lexi- "Wh-what do you mean?"

Jake-"Lexi, we cant be together anymore" there were tears rolling down both of our cheeks.

i didn't say anything

Jacob-"please Lexi, say something."

Lexi- "Why?"

Jacob-"I'm sorry." then he just walks off.

Lexi-"JACOB EPHRAIM BLACK! TELL ME WHAT'S GOING ON!"

Jacob- "I'm sorry. I can't"

Lexi- "Why not?"

Jacob- "I just...can't"

I finally break down and start to run home. I can barely see where I'm going. Then, i finnaly reach my house and run up the stairs, almost tripping. I start going on a rage and just tear up my room and throw stuff everywere . Then, i fall on my bed just sobbing. I feel like someone just ran over me with an eighteen wheeler. I feel like someone just ripped my heart out and stomped on it with disgust. i finnaly fall asleep practically drowning in my tears.
