Ship: Zonah
Places: New York City

Jonah Marais and Zach Herron were your average couple. They went on coffee dates and walked around parks. But one thing they didn't do was ice skate. Zach hated the idea of busting his ass on hard ice, so Jonah agreed and they never went. Until this year.

"Come on Zach!" Jonah yelled excitedly, pulling him down the sidewalks of New York City. "No no no I don't want to." Zach whined pulling back on Jonahs hands. "Zach we're doing it." Jonah said and raced down the sidewalk, Zach trailing behind him.

{Jonahs POV}

I laced my right ice skate, smiling at the ground. "Fuck." I heard someone grumble from beside me. I turned to see Zach struggling with his ice skates.

"Lemme see baby." I said and grabbed his foot, gently setting it on my lap. He watched as I quickly laced his skate then the other one after. "Thanks." He gushed.

I grabbed his hand and guided him to the rink. "I won't let you fall Z." I said. He nodded. I gracefully spun on the ice. He watched in awe and amazement.

He shakily slid on the ice next to me. "Look at you! You're doing it!" I yelled as he smiled and chuckled.

We skated around for hours, laughing and talking. We didn't fall at all. Until the end.

"This was fun." I Said. Zach hit a divot in the ice, his feet slipping out from under him. "AHHH." He yelled while going down. I gracefully caught him and stared into his chocolate eyes. He smiled and pecked my lips.

"Hungry?" I asked while standing him up right. He nodded and jumped the wall, immediately taking off his skates. "Oh my god my feet hurt." I said while taking off mine. Zach laced on his converse while I slid on my black vans.

"How's hot chocolate?" He asked quietly. "Sounds amazing." I kissed his temple before beginning to walk down the dimly lit streets.

The snow crunched under our sneakers as we walked the sidewalks, nearing our favorite cafe.

The snow softly fell from the darkened sky, falling on our eyelashes and in our dark brown hair. Zach caught some with his tongue, then giggled.

We walked into the warm orangey cafe, smiling widely. Zachs cheeks were cherry red along with his little nose. I kissed it and pulled him close as we walked up to the counter.

"Can we have two hot chocolates please?" I asked the elderly woman at the counter. She nodded lightly before running back to the hot Chocolate machine.

Zach sat on the counter, facing me. "Thank you for coming with me." I said with a smile. "No problem. I guess it was kinda fun." He giggled.

"You're drinks are ready." The woman said handing us the warm cups. We walked out the door and to a bridge a few streets down.

We looked down to see the water of a river, sparkling from the Christmas lights around every corner. Zach sipped his drink with a smile. "Merry Christmas Zach." I said watching the snow gracefully fall from around us. "Merry Christmas Jo." He gushed, pressing his warm soft lips against mine.
