~Pumpkin Patch~

Zach and Daniel stood in front of their laptop, awaiting a special email. The notification popped up and Daniel clicked it shakily. "Congratulations your adoption application HAS BEEN ACCEPTED OH MY GOD!" Zach yelled, jumping into Daniel arms and crying.

"WE'RE GONNA HAVE A BABY DANIEL WE'RE GONNA HAVE A REAL LIFE BABY!" Zach screamed and hugged his boyfriend tightly in his arms. Daniel pressed his lips against Zach's softly.

"Let's finish reading it." Daniel cooed while sitting down, pulling Zach down on his lap.

"8 months along baby girl Santa Monica California." The email said. "Due date September 17th." Zach whispered. "That's two weeks from now!" He said.

"Shit we need to get the nursery done." Daniel laughed. "Yup." Zach said. They drive to Buy Buy Baby.

Present day : October 21st

Daniel walked into the small lavender room with a smile. "Hey baby." He said while wrapping his arms around Zach's waist. "Hey." Zach giggled.

"How is she?" He asked, staring down into their baby's big green eyes. She looked up at Daniel. "She's been amazing." Zach said, zipping up the black onesie with a pumpkin face on it on her and adding a small orange tutu and matching bow. "And the baby vans." Daniel said walking to the closet. He pulled out a super small vans box and returned to the changing table.

"Indie Mae I love you." Zach cooed and kissed her little chubby cheeks. She giggled quietly and Zach looked at her with a soft smile.

"Here you go." Daniel said while handing Zach the small pair of black vans. "I haven't seen these in a while." Zach giggled. He put them on Indie and smiled as she stared at them with a confused look.

"I don't think she likes them." Daniel giggled. Zach scooped her up and grabbed her favorite fluffy blanket before setting her in the car seat. Indie was a good baby. She rarely ever cried and she was smiley. But the one thing she hated was the car. She was terrified.

The family of three drove on the crowded high way. "So do we get a baby pumpkin and two big pumpkins or just one big one?" Daniel asked, both hands on the steering wheel. "I think a baby pumpkin and two big ones." Zach Said. Daniel giggled and kissed Zach softly.

They pulled into a parking lot filled with mini vans and SUVS. Their Ferrari stuck out like a sore thumb. Zach got out and went to the back of their car, gently unbuckling Indie from her car seat. He grabbed the blanket and softly wrapped it around her before shutting the door.

"Aww she's so cute." Daniel cooed at the sleeping baby who was laying on Zach's chest. Zach looked down at her with a big smile. "I love her so much." Daniel said. Zach nodded and kissed his cheek.

The three walked into the small pumpkin patch with red cheeks. "It's cold." A small child yelled while running past them. Daniel chuckled and watched the small boy run past.

They walked into the pumpkin area and looked around, seeing a very small pumpkin all by itself. Daniel picked it up and looked at it. "Perfect." He said while putting it in the basket they were given at entrance.

They took cute pictures before searching for big pumpkins to carve at home. After finding the perfect ones and being complimented by the young man at the entrance.

"You guys are such a cute family." He said. "I'm gay so I hope one day to have a family like yours." The young boy said. "You will." Daniel smiled at him. "Can I see it?" He asked quietly. "The baby?" Zach replied. The boy nodded and Zach peeled back the blanket from around Indie.

"What's her name?" The boy asked while adoring the small baby. "Indie Mae." Zach cooed. The boy giggled and looked into her green eyes. "She's adorable." He said. "Thank you." Daniel said kindly.

"Have a wonderful day." The boy said after they finished their conversation. "You too!" Zach and Daniel said at the same time.

The three got back in their car and buckled their daughter into her car seat before pulling out of the place. They would always remember that day.
