{Daniels POV}

"Hurry up Daniel!" My best friend of 15 years yelled. "Hold on Jack holy moly" I yelled back out the front door, scooping up my longboard.

Jack huffed, sitting on the concrete steps of the entrance to my house. He smiled up at the sunset. The yellows, Oranges, and Pinks lighting up the sky.

Jack adored sunsets. He Thought they were the most beautiful thing in the world. To me, sunsets were the second most beautiful thing. He would always be the first on my list.

"Dani?" He asked. I turned to him. "Yeah?" I replied. He looked at me with his big brown eyes.

"Ready?" He asked. I nodded and smiled widely before dropping my longboard on the asphalt and pushing off.

"Hey wait!" He yelled. I chuckled as I zoomed down the freshly paved street. "Venice beach" Was painted on a huge sign above the entrance to the pathway.

I smiled as Jack zoomed past me, chuckling. I caught up with him quickly. We rode down the pathways until we reached a small lemon aid stand.

Jacks little brother smiled at us wildly from his small chair behind the stand. "Hey Hayden." Jack said setting down his longboard.

"Hey lil man!" I exclaimed while patting his dark long hair. "Hewwo!" He said with a big toothy grin.

I dropped a five dollar bill into his cup, making him giggle and hand me two cups of lemonade. "Thankyou Mr. Avery." I said, tipping my invisible hat.

Jack was sitting on the sand, admiring what was left of the sunset on the horizon. I handed him a cup, which he quickly gulped down.

"It's beautiful." He gasped as a flash of orange changed the sky a scarlet color. "Not as beautiful as you." I said, staring at the sky.

Jacks turned to me with a raised eyebrow. "So... uh... I guess I'm gay." I said with a nervous tone.

I turned to him to see his big brown eyes full of happiness. I looked at him in confusion. He placed both of his hands on my cheeks, leaned in, and kissed me softly.

Fireworks exploded into the sky behind us, reflecting on the dark blue ocean water. We pulled apart to see 7 large fireworks explode.

Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, and Pink. The pride flag appeared In sky. "Happy Pride Month, my love." Jack said to me, staring deeply into my eyes. He pulled me up, so we were both standing.

I had never felt safer than I did in his arms, watching the flag of our culture appear in the sky.

Maybe this would be forever. Maybe it wouldn't. All I cared about was right now, with this boy that I loved, watching fireworks at the beach.

I knew from then on, I wanted to spend forever with him. He was my one and only.

"I love you, Daniel Seavey." Jack whispered. "I love you too." I Said.
