                  River's POV::

I knock softly on Xander and Hermosa's home. The door opens and Hermosa stands in the door way with her new born daughter in her arms. "Come in, love," she says. I brush pass her and sit on the couch. She sits down and starts breast feeding Natalie. "I really hope this isn't weird. This is the only way she'll eat-"
"Its natural," I interrupt. She a gives me a grateful smile. "I need some half motherly, half best friend advise," I say. She smiles.
    "What about?"
"I've been avoiding Vito for about four weeks now, because or something that happened; that's a completely different story. And I need to tell him something extremely important, but I don't know how to."
"On a scale of roses to guns?"
'The aftermath of the guns and no is alive," I answer. Her eyes widen.
"I've been there before. The first thing to know is being the news to them while they're least expecting it. And once they know, they'll try pushing you away; don't let them. If they threaten you, fight back," she tells me. The door to the bedroom opens and Xander walks out.
"There's the bride to be," he says.
"We'll check back on that title in a few hours."

I use the spare key Vito gave me to enter his apartment. Lulu runs to the door, her tail wagging violently. "Vito?" I call out to only get no response. I look down at the cute little dog. "Guess it's you and I until he gets back. Lets go cook."
I'm talking to a damn dog.

"I swear to god if he doesn't like this cooking, I'm going to telenovela slap him," I say to Lulu as I set the food on the table. Still talking to the dog. The door opens and Vito walks in with Fin and Willow behind him. He stops in this tracks when he sees me.
"Hey," he says, his jaw clenching. Willow slaps Fin's arm.
"I'm just gonna get my jacket and we'll be out of your hair. Use protection kidos," he says, reaching over for his jacket and pulling Willow out. I shift back and forth on my feet. My eyes roam over his god like body. His muscles show perfectly on the right t-shirt.
"I made dinner," I say nervously. He glances over to the good.
"Okay, I'll use the restroom and come back," he says, kissing my forehead and walking into the room. I bend down to Lulu.
"You want some?" She barks, making me chuckle. I walk to the stove and get a little bit of chicken. I put some in her bowl  and sit down. "I wasn't kidding about the novela slap."
He comes back out and sits down in front of me. "It looks and smells delicious." I take deep breaths. "You okay?"
"I'm trying to get to step one," I breath.
"Step one? What the fuck is that?" He asks. I close my eyes. "Okay, baby, calm down."
"No, it's not. I need to explain everything to you," I say. He nods, waiting for me to continue. "The other night, I wanted to enjoy what was happening. Any other women with you would, but those cuffs," tears escape my eyes. "When I was kidnapped, they had my hands cuffed behind my back so I couldn't move or fight back. That's all I was able to think about," I tell him.
"Hey," he reaches over and takes my hand, "it's fine. You could have told me all of this. You didn't have to be afraid and avoid me for four weeks." More tears come.
"That's not why I did that," I say. His brows draw together. "I love you, so much. We just engaged, I wanted to get married." My voice cracks.
    "We will get married."
"I'm pregnant," I tell him. His grip on my hand loosens. "I've been so scared to tell you. I know you said you want kids, but not soon. I just don't want to lose you." He stands up, running his tattooed hands through his hair.
"I need to be alone," he says, heading to the room.
"They'll try pushing you away; don't let them," Hermosa's voice says in my head.
I shoot up and grab his arm. "Don't push me away, especially now." I really wish my voice wasn't cracking so much.
    "Leave," he says.
"If they threaten you, fight back."
"No," I say. His eyes harden. "I've been so stressed because of this, because of you, this relationship, this baby. If you hadn't noticed before, I have really bad anxiety and that means I need medication. I can't take anything to calm down, because of this. So, I'm not leaving until you talk to me."
He looks down at me with am unreadable expression. "I'm sorry. You should have told me when you found out."
"I wanted to, but I was scared. No one knows, only me and now you. I was scared." He cups my face and wipes my tears with the pads on his thumbs. He presses his lips gently against mine.
"We'll get through this. I love you."
"I love you too." I pull back and remove his shirt.
"This escalated quickly," he says. I wrap arms around him.
"No, I just wanted to be close to you," I mumble. He kisses my temple. "We're not ready to be parents."
"Most parents aren't. It just depends on how strong their relationship is."
"And how strong is our relationship?"
    "Incredibly."
