Vito's POV::
"One of us would have to claim you," I tell her. She takes in a sharp breath. I feel terrible that she's been dragged into this, but it was going to happen eventually.
"How do you...claim?" She asks. I start the car and start driving, not sure exactly where to.
"How do you think?" I ask, staring at the road. After being kidnapped and raped only even two months ago, that must be the last thing she would want to hear.
"Like you would have to have se-"
"Yes," I tell her. "Its weird I know, but it shows ownership. Obviously there's more to it, but that's the first part," I explain. I stop at a corner, not sure where to go.
"Are they going to..you know?" She asks. I relax into the seat, letting go of the steering wheel.
"Find you again? Most likely. The cools found you, they didn't let you go, meaning you know things and they don't want that information getting out. We don't know their current plans," I tell her.
"Does it matter who claims who?" She asks. I shake my head. "Would it be weird if I were to ask you to-"
"To claim you?"
"Would you stop finished my sentences?" I grin.
"It wouldn't be weird, I'd be flattered. You just have to to understand the costs it comes with." She shrugs.
"Whatever those costs are they must be better than them finding me. I can't go through that again." I nod, reserving the car.
"Okay then."
××××××××"Welcome," I say as I lead her into my home. LuLu runs up barking. I bend down and pick her up like I always do when I get home.
"That's a small dog for someone like you," she says. I set LuLu down on the couch.
"I like small dogs. You can go to the room and get comfortable," I tell her. Tensely, she nods and walks down the hall, finding my room. I sit down on the couch, looking at my white furball of a dog. "What the hell am I doing? Don't give me that look."
I stand and go to my room. I can tell just from the way she's standing, she is no where near comfortable with the situation. She just met me for lords sake.
I walk up behind her, pressing my hands to her waist. She jumps at the contact. "How many girls have you claimed?" She asks me.
"Never, you can only claim once." She turns around and looks around to me. This could be a mistake. This is a one time thing, she'll be stuck in this. I reach down and start lifting her shirt the smallest bit. He'd hands shake at her sides. I bend down and crash my lips to hers, not giving it a second a thought. She gasps, her hands immediately gripping my shirt.
Lifting her up, her legs wrap around my legs as I press her to the wall. I know this is wrong, but this will keep her safe. Keeping her held up with my body, I remove my shirt.
We pull away, breathing heavily. Her long brown hair is now messy. I trail my lips down her neck, feeling her hands trail over the top of my back. She tilts her head back, moaning quietly. I set her down and take her shirt odd, throwing it somewhere.
The scar down her chest catches my attention. My movements stall as I look at her. Her arms fall from around my neck. "Are you okay?" She asks.
"I can't do this to you," I say. Her eyes drop. "It's not because of the way you look, or the scars, I just want you to enjoy life. You've been through hell already, I don't want to put you through more of it."
"Do you have to turn me into a vampire or something?" She asks.
"No, but it sucks." She reaches down and grabs her shirt. "I'll keep you safe from them."
"Thank you."
"I'll drive you home."
