A/N in this, Harry and Draco are best friends.
Draco's POV
Driving the Weasley's car is easy enough. But I refused to fly it. I felt like Fred and George have tampered with it. Instead, I allowed the car to glide over the silent motorway at half two in the morning, Ron and Hermione in the back and Harry in the passenger seat.
We were traveling around England, Wales and Scotland for a while this past summer.
But this road trip was different. We weren't screaming along to songs on the radio, we weren't sticking our heads out the window like dogs and we weren't joking and laughing.
Instead Ron and Hermione were whispering in the back and Harry was crying silently in the front.
No one spoke. We had tried comforting him earlier but gave up.
He was crying because Cedric Diggory, the little ***hole broke up with Harry over text. They had been together for two years through good times and bad. Harry really wasn't taking it well and didn't know what he had done to cause Cedric to end it.
Finally I spoke. "How about we just listen to some music?" I asked. Everyone agreed quietly.
I turned on the radio and smiled sadly at Harry.
"Don't forget me I beg/ I'll remember you said/ sometimes it lasts in love/ but sometimes it hurts instead..."
My hand shot to the radio and I fumbled to turn it off.
I glanced at Harry. A wave of emotion took over his body and he began openly sobbing into his hands.
"Sh*t!" he half-screamed, half-cried.
I pulled over at a 24/7 gas station and parked the car under the luminescent glow.
I turned to the other two. "Can you go in and get us food and drinks?" I pleaded.
They both nodded and slipped out of the car.
After they entered the station, I turned to Harry. I lifted his chin with my index finger and thumb and looked into his red, puffy, tear-filled eyes; they showed raw emotion and pain.
"Harry..." I whispered.
"Don't try." he groaned. "I know you'll say it's not my fault but it clearly is! He did it for a reason, Draco. I know he did. It's because I'm a sh*t human being. I'm not good enough." his voice shook. "Cedric is the only person who has and ever will go out with me. And even that was fake. And it's probably because..."
I cut him off by putting a hand on the back of his head and gently pulling his mouth towards mine. Our lips clashed and our eyes closed. My fist gathered his messy hair as I kissed him. A flutter rose in my stomach.
After what seems like forever, we pulled away. We looked into each other's eyes for a few seconds and turned away when the car door opened. Ron threw some crisp packets and bottles of Coca-Cola into the car.
"You feeling better, Harry?" Hermione asked.
Harry nodded. "A lot better."
