Harry's POV
"Dray?" I mumble.
"Mhm?"
I ponder if I should ask him or not. I stare out onto the lake spread before us and adjust myself against him.
"Why don't you want people knowing?"
I await his reply but it doesn't come.
I turn my head to look at him. His eyes are closed and he doesn't seem to notice me.
"Dray?" I repeat.
"I heard you." he confirms. He opens his light blue eyes and looks dreamily at the view. "I suppose it's because I'm afraid, Harry."
I sit up slightly. "Of what?"
He raises his brows, still facing away from me. "Of losing you. If my father hears about this, he'll surely force me to leave you. He'd have you dead."
His voice breaks on the word dead.
I probably shouldn't have asked.
"I don't want to lose you either, Draco." I agree. "Don't worry, it'll be our little secret."
He opens his mouth to say something when a branch snaps to our left.
We both fall silent as the voices of Ron and Hermione get clearer.
Without another seconds delay, we shoot up.
"And that's why Slytherin are better than you Gryffindorks!" Draco spits.
"Oh put a sock in it Malfoy, you guys are just teachers' pets. At least Gryffindors work for their points." I fire back.
Ron and Hermione emerge through the gal in the trees, noticing the "argument".
"Harry, leave it. He isn't worth your breath." Ron says.
"Too right he isn't." I agree, already walking away.
But I turn around quickly to give my ferret a quick wink.
