Chapter 28
Once we were all dried off and had clothes back on we decided to have a few drinks in the lounge area. Well I didn't decided, everyone else did.
I sat down in the spare seat next to Greg and stuck my feet up on his lap. "Hi." He said and gave me a warm smile.
"Hey. Rub my feet, would ya?" I asked hopefully. My feet were killing me after walking around so much. I never do as much exercise!
"Hell no!" he said in protest. "I'm not touching those things!"
I gave him the puppy dog eyes. "Please greggy-weggy.."
He sighed in defeat. Woo, I win! "Fine."
"Cheers, you're a pal." I replied, shoving my left set of polished red toes into his hand.
He stuck his tongue out at me, exposing the silver ball piercing settling into the bed of his tongue. "You owe me big time!"
"Kay." I smiled up angelically to him. "That piercing is disgusting. Doesn't all your food get stuck in it?"
"Nah, not really. Curry sauce does though, and that stings like a bitch." He said with a light laugh. "The ladies love it."
"I don't." I said honestly. "It gives me the heeby-jeebies."
"Fine, take your foot back." he said jokingly, pushing my foot away.
"No! No, I'm sorry. I do like it."
"Nope!" He said, popping the p. He folded his arms over his chest and angled his head away from me.
"Greggy, please! I'll do anything."
"Anything?" he said, now interested.
Please don't make me regret saying that! I nodded.
"Okay.. Go get me another beer."
"That's it?" I said surprised. I thought he would make me rub his disgusting feet or something.
"No. It has to be a cold beer."
"Okay." I got up from my seat and went to the kitchen.
When I entered the kitchen I saw Brooke interrogating Aaron. My heart sank at the scene. Shit. Play it cool.. "Hey."
Aaron turned to me with a face of thunder. "She knows." wow, not even a hi. Poor Aaron must have been dragged through the bushes backwards by Brooke. We all know what she's like when she's annoyed. And she's very stubborn.
"Knows what?" I asked, casually taking a beer from the fridge.
"About you two. I can't believe you didn't tell me!" Brooke said.
I sighed. "I'm sorry, I wanted to, but me and Aaron had a deal. I didn't mean to hurt you."
"Well you did. And just so you know, you probably won't want to be in our room tonight." She walked out of the kitchen at that.
"Shit." I muttered under my breath, pulling the top off Greg's beer. What had I done? I knew I should have just told her. We don't keep anything from each other. Wow, some friend I am.
I sat the beer down on the counter and turned to Aaron. "What happened?"
"She was interrogating me. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked you to keep it from Brooke." And then it clicked, she would be even more annoyed because of her thing with Aaron. Double shit!
"Crap! I'm such a shitty friend." I slapped my forehead, the cold from the bottle of beer stinging my skin.
"No you're not." he came over and wrapped his arms around my waste and pulled me to him. I wrapped my arms around his waste too and leaned my head against his chest. He was so warm. "Eboni, I have to tell you something."
