Three days passed by with Drak, Eryn and I working with the Togusian soldiers in hunting down the remaining Amedtas and Kupmehs still in the city. After a week we managed to kill the last of the beasts despite losing dozens of people in the little raids the beasts had made. The Madrians were very helpful in killing the beasts then Sky had the Madrians immediately put to work at rebuilding the damage done in all of their attacks.

At dawn of the sixteenth day after Yadre's defeat a messenger arrived at the inn with a letter from Sky asking me to come to the palace for a personal meeting. I told Drak and Eryn that I was leaving and left in a carriage which was waiting outside. It took a few hours and as I got out the guards standing at the door were afraid. I saw the same thing on the Madrian soldiers after defeating Yadre. The soldiers opened the door and there was another servant waiting.

"Lord Falcra, follow me please," the woman said bowing.

I nodded and a few minutes later I was at the doors to Sky's office where the two guards on duty reluctantly opened the doors. I saw Sky standing over his desk with his back to the door.

"I see you got my message."

"What is it you need to talk with me about?" I asked making my way into the room.

"I know the Council, mainly Ragno, will be trying to punish me for siding with you. I was wondering if perhaps I could accompany you and your friends wherever you go."

"What about the city? Your people are going to need you."

"My people will fare a lot better once I am gone. No more attacks from people because of who I am. Besides it is time that the country is run by those who are elected by the people themselves."

"If you truly want to come then it is alright with me. It will be dangerous with Knights always out for my head or who knows if there are any other demons I will be forced to battle."

"Nothing I am not used too but thank you for your concern. Now if you would accompany me to the Council Chambers so I can tell them. They have been hounding me to meet with them for the past few days."

We headed to the Council Chambers and once we were inside Ragno started to throw out accusations that Sky was to blame for all the damage done and for all of the lives that had been lost. They said that they feared more attacks would come if nothing was done about me or Sky. Our presence in the city was a danger to all.

"By order of the Council we hereby banish you from not just the city of Togus but the country as well! You will no longer be the ruler! If you ever return you will be killed on sight!"

"Alright that is fine with me," Sky said after a moment of silence.

"Wait that easy?" Ragno asked in complete shock "You're not going to put up a fight?"

"Nope," Sky said waving to all of them. "It was my pleasure to rule over Togus like my family has for a thousand years but now I think it is time for the country to move on in a new direction without a monarchy. Ragno I believe that you and the other Council members will do what is best for the city. I promise I will not be a bother."

"Good," Ragno said as he gave a smile. "Ajemuha, despite every bone in my body telling me to kill you I cannot ignore the fact that you helped defend our home from the Knight after he turned against his word. I will allow you and your friends to leave. The same rules apply to you that apply to Sky. If you return you will be killed."

"Fine with me since I don't really plan on coming back, Togus was just to be a place to rest up after the journey from Porthia. I didn't plan to be here so long."

"Good now the two of you are excused."

"Thank you Ragno," Sky said turning to me. "Let us return to the palace so that I can gather some things then we can leave. I will have a message sent to your friends asking them to come to the palace. They should reach it before we do. I'll have you brought to them while I prepare to leave."

"Lead the way," I said as we headed back to the palace.

As the carriage pulled up Sky excused himself, heading off to his room. I nodded and a servant led me to the dining hall where Drak and Eryn were waiting.

"Trez what is going on? Why were we summoned?" Eryn asked rising from her chair.

"Sky is going to be accompanying us. He has been exiled and we have to leave soon. They gave us the penalty of death if we ever return."

"Like I ever want to return to this place," Drak said taking a bit of an apple that had been sitting in a bowl on the table.

"I told them the same thing. Sky is preparing to leave and we will leave when he is ready."

We waited in the room for only an hour before Sky arrived with a large duffle bag slung over his right shoulder. I had expected to see Sky with some kind of weapon but all he had was a pair of studded gauntlets. I shook my head realizing that with Sky's enhanced physical abilities he was in a way his own weapon. "Is everyone ready to go?"

"Yes," I said rising out of the chair. "Let's head out before Ragno tries to have our heads. Now are you still sure you want to accompany us? I am sure there will plenty of battles with Knights ahead of us."

"I doubt there will be many places that will allow someone like me," he said. "I am ready to deal with whatever happens while accompanying you."

"Then let's go," I said heading towards the door.

"Lord Sky, wait!" Hac yelled as he rushed into the room just as the four of us were about to leave.

"What is it Hac?"

"I wish to accompany you."

"Hac I think that it would best if you stayed here," Sky said placing a hand on the man's shoulder. "The people of Togus need you to help them as they transition into this new era."

"As you wish Lord Sky," Hac said sighing.

"Hac I am no longer a lord. Call me Sky. Besides we have been friends for nearly thirty years."

"Alright Sky. I will try and fight with the Council so that you could return if you ever wanted to."

"Thank you friend," Sky said. "We should be going now we have a long journey ahead of us I believe. Speaking of which, where are we going?"

"We are heading to the Golia Gorge."

"What is there that you need?"

"One of the Orbs of the Enders is located there," I said as we made our way through the halls.

"By Enders are you talking about the six demons from myth that Epawar and the other gods battled against after the creation of Lehhyn?" Sky asked as he seemed intrigued.

"Yes those Enders."

"Well this seems that traveling with you is going to be very interesting."

Outsidewe saw that there was a carriage waiting which brought us from the palace tothe southern gates. Along the way I saw that the Togusian people had learnedabout their king's exile and wanted to see him off. As he emerged the largegroup of people that followed let out a cheer wishing him the best of luck. They thanked him for all he did as king. Sky choked up a bit as he said goodbyebefore following us through the gate.
