"B-body?" I was confused. There was nothing here, Dane's lab was empty with only a few black scorch marks in the blast room.

"I don't see anything," Julius said, "this place is empty."

"Let me explain!" Monokuma entered through the doors, "basically, this is where the person's body is. Their body isn't here because of reasons that I can't disclose, but I can assure you, they are dead."

"I don't believe your bullshit!" I yelled, "you're lying, you must be!"

"Don't be in denial, Tyler," Monokuma said, "I mean, have you seen Alex?"

Monokuma's words were painful but true, "Sh-shut up!" I yelled, "you're... wrong,"

"T-Tyler, I've texted everyone to come over here," Lois said, "it's okay."

"Nothing's okay," Monokuma interrupted, "once you get over the fact that Alex is dead, maybe you could hurry up and start investigating."

"Investigate? What do you mean, investigate?" I asked, a stroke of anger clear in my voice.

"Don't tell me you've forgotten already," Monokuma sighed, "once a body discovery announcement sounds, you have a certain amount of time to gather evidence to use in the class trials. It's all in the rules."

"I don't have to do any of this!" I countered.

"Oh, but you do. Your participation in class trials is mandatory and if you break that rule, you will be punished,"

"Punished?" Julius questioned, "don't you mean executed?"

"Exactly," Monokuma answered, "you don't want that do you, Tyler?"

"I... I... I-."

"Good. Now, I can't wait to see what will happen next. Upupupupupu..."

Monokuma continued his boisterous laughter as he ran out of the dome. I felt miserable. Like the walls are closing in on you, like everyone you know starts to hate you, like a giant pit of darkness swallows you whole. I felt... despair.

"Is everyone alright?" I heard Amelia call.

"Where's Alex?" I heard Stark say.

"What's going on here?" I heard Rita ask.

I looked towards the door and there stood the rest of the students. They were probably as confused as me since they couldn't find a body.

"I don't know where Alex is!" I said, "Monokuma just said her body is here."

"Monokuma?" Dane questioned.

"Yes," Lois joined in, "he came in to say this is apparently where Alex, 'died'."

"I don't believe it," I stammered, "we can't find her, so she could just be missing..."

I knew I was in serious denial. Everyone around me probably knew too but they seemed to go along with the lie.

"Y-you're right," Celia said, "there is only circumstantial evidence to suggest that Alex is, dead,"
