Nine months later
Camila smiles down at her newborn daughter and son, they were small but perfect.
Marley was fast asleep on the bed beside Camila. She was exhausted. She was still all sweaty and had began drooling. Her gown was all bloody from giving birth.
Moving over to the bed, Camila wipes Marley's mouth before grabbing the clean gown and beginning to change her.
Marley grunted in her sleep.
"Mar, baby, I need you to move to the left so I can take your gown off." Camila says softly.
Grunting again, Marley shifted her arms slightly.
Managing to change Marley, Camila kisses her forehead.
Marley's head fell to the side and she began drooling again.
The baby boy in Camila's arms and began to softly whine.
"Shh." Camila rocked him until he settled down.
Slowly, the baby relaxed while his sister began to fuss.
Camila put her son down and moved over to her daughter. "Shh." She rocked the bassinet until the baby drifted back off to sleep.
Neither of them had named yet, mainly because Marley was still asleep.
Camila sat down on one of the chairs. She ran her fingers through her hair and looked at the clock. 5am. The twins had decided to come at 2am and they'd been in the hospital since Marley went into labor at 3 in the afternoon the day before.
Closing her eyes, Camila starts to fall asleep.
She didn't realise how tired she actually was until she looked at the clock.
Three hours later
"Camila," Lucy says softly, shaking Camila's shoulder.
Camila jumped awake in surprise. She looked up at Lucy. "Hi." She yawned and rubbed her eyes.
Marley and the twins were still asleep.
"Hey, I came to warn you that Lauren is going to be getting the court involved in this." Lucy says softly.
"Why? Involved in what?" Camila asked, confused. She was still recovering from her tired state.
"Your relationship with Marley." Lucy explains.
"Why?" Camila asked.
Sighing, Lucy squeezes Camila's shoulder. "Because of the pregnancies."
"I don't understand." Camila said honestly.
"I don't either." Lucy responds softly.
"Where is she just now?" Camila asked.
Shrugging, Lucy runs a hand through her hair. "No idea."
Camila sighed heavily. "She hates me, doesn't she?"
"I don't know Mila, I'm not in her head." Lucy says softly before taking a deep breath. "I have to go to work, but I thought I'd let you know."
"Okay. Thanks." Camila leaned back in her seat and ran her fingers through her hair.
Lucy sends Camila a soft smile before walking away.
****
Marley's eyes flutter open and she looks at Camila, seeing her still sound asleep. It was just a dream. Which meant Lucy never came or said things about Lauren and court.
