"Ready to go buddy?" Camila asks, forcing herself to stand up while Lauren puts Daxton in his shoes.

Daxton nodded vigorously. He clapped his hands. "Yeah." He kicked his right leg - the leg which Lauren didn't currently have on her own lap so she could tie his shoes - with excitement. "We are going to see the lions and tigers and bears."

"Oh my." Lauren responded. "Sounds like fun."

Camila closes her eyes and tries to ignore the pain surging through her leg.

"Other leg." Lauren said softly, gently moving Daxton's left leg off her lap.

Placing his right leg on Lauren's lap, the three year old looks toward Lucy who was holding a sleeping Mason. "Who him?"

"That's your half-brother half-nephew." Lauren said without thinking about the fact that she'd have to explain to her son what that meant.

Daxton frowns in confusion. "What's that mean mommy?"

Lauren froze in the middle of tying Daxton's shoes. "What?" She looked up at her son, not realising what she had said.

"You say him my half bruder an' half nefew." The three year old says.

"I said that." Lauren internally slapped herself for being so stupid.

The little boy nods his head. "Can I go now?"

Lauren quickly tied her son's shoe. She nodded and lifted him up off the couch, placing him on the floor.

Daxton quickly ran over to Camila, bumping her leg and causing Camila to fall.

The brown eyed mother closed her eyes and forced herself not to scream.

Flinching backwards, Daxton's eyes filled with tears, thinking he'd hurt his mom.

Camila immediately sits up, pulling Daxton into her arms. "I'm okay buddy."

Slipping his thumb into his mouth, Daxton let his tears fall.

Kissing his forehead, Camila looks up at Lauren for help.

Lauren moved over to them. She lifted her son out of Camila's arms. "Shh, buddy. You're okay." She whispered in his ear, rocking him back and forth.

Slowly, Camila gets up and looks down. "Maybe I should go." She says weakly.

"He just got a fright. He'll be fine in a minute." Lauren said.

Nodding slowly, Camila glances toward Lucy, watching her with Mason.

The little boy was fast asleep, curled up in her arms.

"Thanks for agreeing to watch him." Camila says softly, looking at Lucy.

"No problem. Just one question, where's Marley?" Lucy said.

"Record label?" Lucy asks with a confused frown.

"Yeah, they're showing her the ropes." The younger girl says softly.

"The ropes?" Lucy had no idea what Camila was talking about.

Frowning, Camila tries to figure out how to explain things to Lucy. "They are writing songs and working in the sound booth."

"Oh." Lucy nodded once. "Okay."

Six hours later

Lauren was pacing back and forth, trying to figure out what was taking Camila so long to bring Daxton home.

"Lauren, relax. They'll be home soon." Lucy said softly.
