When she woke up, Camila couldn't help but smile softly and kiss Marley's cheek.
Marley grunted in her sleep as she wriggled around. She was having a nightmare.
"Hey, shh, wake up." Camila says softly, gently shaking Marley's shoulder.
Marley groaned in her sleep before rolling over.
Shifting, Camila pulls Marley close and kisses her shoulder. "Hi."
"Ouch." Marley mumbled, shifting slightly.
"Are you hungry?" Camila asks softly, rubbing Marley's hip.
Marley shook her head.
"Mar, you need to eat something." Camila says softly.
"I'm not hungry." Marley muttered.
Shifting, Camila looks into her eyes. "Why not? You haven't ate since we left this morning."
"I'm not hungry." Marley repeated.
Moving so she's hovering over her daughter, Camila leans down and kisses her softly.
Marley wraps her arms around Camila's neck and deepens the kiss.
Camila used her arms to keep herself up off of Marley. She was suddenly aware of how skinny and frail her daughter actually was.
After a few minutes, Marley pulls away and looks into Camila's eyes. "Do you love me as more than a daughter?"
Camila brow furrowed in confusion as she thought about what her daughter had just said.
"Mama?" The seventeen year old asks softly.
Camila moved off of Marley and sat down on the bed. "I honestly don't know."
Swallowing thickly, Marley sits up and looks down. "Oh, I'm going to take a shower. If you want to join."
Camila took a deep breath. "I'll make breakfast." She said. She'd told Lauren that their trip was to help Marley get a bit better and she was determined to do that so that she wasn't technically lying to Lauren.
Frowning, Marley grabs her shower things and a change of clothes.
Camila got up and left the room to make breakfast.
Halfway through her shower, Marley feels a pair of strong arms wrap around her waist from behind. "Mama?"
Camila began to sway them under the warm water of the shower.
Turning in Camila's arms, the younger girl looks up. "I thought you were making breakfast."
Camila shrugged. "It would have been cold by the time you got out."
Nodding, Marley steps closer to Camila and leans against her. "What did you tell mom and Lucy?"
"I told them I was taking you here to help get you to eat." Camila said honestly.
"Is that why you want me to eat so much?" Marley asks, kissing Camila.
"I want you to get better." Camila said. "I want to help you."
Nodding her head, Marley kisses Camila again, pulling their bodies together.
Camila eventually pulled away after a long moment. She took Marley's hands and ran them over Marley's ribs. "Do you feel that?" She asked softly.
Swallowing thickly, Marley nods her head. "I can feel my ribs."
Camila placed Marley's hands on the girl's hip. "And these?"
