Two months later

"Mama," Addison whines from her crib.

"Addison, it's three in the morning, please go back to sleep." Lucy begged from the doorway. "I have to work tomorrow."

The little girl fights back tears, holding her arms up.

Lucy sighed defeatedly. She moved over to the little girl and lifted her up, carrying her to her and Camila's room. She lay the little girl on the bed beside Camila and lay down, pulling the sheets up over them.

Curling into them, Addison quickly falls asleep.

Lucy sighed. She rolled onto her side and closed her eyes, drifting off to sleep.

Camila shifts in her sleep and moves closer to Lucy and Addison.

Addison tangled her fingers in Camila's shirt and gripped it tightly as she slept.

When Lucy wakes up in the morning, Addison is sitting up and rubbing at her eyes tiredly.

Lucy rolled onto her back and stretched out her arms. She yawned.

"Mama," the little girl mumbles, rubbing at her eyes again.

"Morning." Lucy responded.

Addison looks up at Lucy before crawling over to the older girl and curling into her side. "Mama no go."

Lucy let out a sigh, she tried to keep the frustration out of her voice. "Addison, I have to work. Camila will be here."

Tears fill the two year old's eyes and she grips onto Lucy's shirt, her skin was extremely warm to the touch. "No go." she whined out.

Addison was a clingy baby, but it was even worse when she was sick and most of the time when sick she just wanted Lucy.

Lucy pried the little girl's hands off her. "I have to work." She said calmly, placing the little girl on the bed and getting up to get changed. She left the room with clean clothes and her towel to get a shower.

The two year old burst into tears and curled into a ball, she only wanted Lucy to hold her.

Lucy came back into the room once she was fully dressed and put her towel in the hamper. She brushed out her hair and grabbed her work bag.

Addison was still softly sobbing on the bed, her tiny body shaking.

Lucy ignored the little girl's cries. She left the room and went to the kitchen to get her breakfast.

Lauren was already up and ready for work. She was sitting at the table eating a bowl of cereal.

"Why's Addie crying?" The green eyed girl asks softly upon seeing Lucy.

"She's not feeling well and she wants me but I have to work." Lucy responded.

Swallowing her last bite, Lauren looks at the older girl. "That might not end well."

"I know. But she has to learn plus Braelynn will be at school so she'll have nothing to moan about." Lucy shrugged, making herself some cereal.

"Yeah but Camila has to work tonight,  that's why Daxton is going to daycare." Lauren says softly.

Addison's sobs could be heard all the way in the kitchen.

"I don't know what to do then, Lauren." Lucy responded. "I can't stay off today. I'm working a double shift."

Lauren sighed. She stood up and carried her bowl to the sink.

"Mama!" Addison screams out from the bedroom, she sounded more terrified than anything.
