Chapter 5

Y/N POV:
It was a Tuesday morning and I was eating breakfast with Jungkook in the kitchen. My mom thought it would be nice if Jungkook had breakfast with us every morning since we walk to school together. We were talking about how fun it was yesterday at the carnival. Once we were done with breakfast we grabbed our backpacks and headed to school.
  Right when we had reached the school gates the bell had rang for class. I guess we took longer today. Me and Jungkook reached our class and sat down. Then the boring class started.
*Bell rings*
  Finally it's time for lunch! Me and Jungkook headed towards the lunch room and got our lunch. Then we went to the table where Taehyung and Jimin were at. "Hey guys" Jungkook said. "Hey Jungkook. Hey Y/N." Jimin says. Me and Jungkook sat down at the table and Jimin had said, "Me and Taehyung were planning to go get ice cream after school. Do you guys wanna join us?" "Sure." I said. We looked at Jungkook. "Sorry I have stuff to do at home. You guys go ahead. Maybe another time." "Ok" Jimin said. We ate our lunch and lunch ended so we headed back to our classroom. Another couple of hours before school ends.
*Bell rings*
Me and Jungkook left the classroom and headed to the gates where Jimin and Taehyung were waiting. "Y/N I need to talk to them really quick do you mind waiting by the tree?" "Oh no not at all." I said. I went to the tree to wait for them. I wonder what there talking about.
Jungkook's POV:
I told Y/N to wait by the tree while I went to talk with Taehyung and Jimin. "Hey guys." "Hey Jungkook" Taehyung said. "When you guys go to get ice cream with Y/N please make sure to watch over her. I don't want anything happening to her. She's my best friend and I don't want anything happening to her like in the alley ok?" "Ok sure no problem." Jimin said. "Yeah we'll protect her. She's our best friend too." Jungkook smiled. He was glad that they were getting along with her. "Ok well I gotta go see you guys later." " Bye Jungkook!" Jimin and Taehyung said at the same time.
Y/N POV:
  I saw Jimin and Taehyung walking towards me. "Are you ready Y/N?" Taehyung said. "Yup" I replied back. We started walking towards the ice cream shop and we ordered our favorite ice cream. After we got our ice cream we went and sat down at a table. "So how did you guys meet Jungkook?" I said. "We met him on the first day of school. He always talked about you saying stuff like how nice you were and funny. But at the same time he worried about you. We would invite him over to come with us after school somewhere but he said he wanted to go to the hospital to make sure you were ok. Your lucky you have a friend like him. He's protective of you. Before we came here he told us to protect you because he didn't want anything happening to you like in the alley. Don't tell him we said any of this stuff to you though ok?" I smiled. I felt my cheeks getting warm so I put my head down so Jimin and Taehyung wouldn't notice. I never knew Jungkook thought of me that way. I felt me cheeks get even more warmer. I never really had a friend that thought of me that much. I could feel my eyes getting watery and right away I wiped them. "Are you ok?" I heard Taehyung say. I looked back up, "oh yeah sorry I'm fine." I said with a smile so they wouldn't suspect anything. We finished our ice cream and went outside. "Hey do you guys wanna go to the arcade?" Taehyung suggested. "Yeah that sounds fun! What about you Y/N?" Jimin asked. "Yeah sure I'll go." While we were walking to the arcade I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I looked at my screen and it was a text from Jungkook.
Kookie:Hey Y/N. Are you guys ok?
I smiled when I remembered the talk we had in the ice cream shop. I replied back.
Y/N: Yeah we're fine. We're going to go to the arcade for a little bit.
Kookie: Oh cool. Well just let me know if anything happens ok?
Y/N: Ok I will
Kookie: Ok bye Y/N! Have fun!
Y/N: Bye Kookie!
  I put my phone back in my pocket and realized we were already at the arcade. We went inside and there were a ton of games! Taehyung ran to a claw machine and put a coin in and tried to get a stuffed animal but sadly he didn't get it. I went over there and waved my hand for him to move. I inserted a coin and moved the claw to the animal that he tried to get before. I hit the button and it lowered the claw and the claw grabbed the animal and dropped it in the hole. I grabbed the animal and gave it to Taehyung. "THANK YOU Y/N!" He said and hugged me. I laughed at his cuteness. "Your welcome Taehyung." He let go of me and said, "If you want you can call me TaeTae." He said with a smile. "Ok, TaeTae." "Hey, how come Jungkook and Taehyung get nick names but not me!" I heard Jimin say behind us. I turned around and said, " Ok fine how about ChimChim?" "That's perfect!" He said. I laughed again. We played some more games and I got way more prizes than Jimin and Taehyung. "How are you better than us Y/N?" I heard Taehyung say. "When I was little my mom would always bring me to the arcade so I guess I got better at playing the  games each time." "Your so lucky. I wish I was that good at the arcade games." Taehyung said. It was time for us to go home so Jimin and Taehyung walked me home. Once we got to my house I waved goodbye to Jimin and Taehyung. I went in the bathroom to take a quick shower and then I put my pajamas on and headed downstairs to eat dinner.
I was scrolling through my phone when I received a message from a random number. I clicked on the message and it said 'hey guys'. It was on a group chat. I typed in, "who is this?" A little after the person replied and it said, "oh sorry I forgot. It's Jimin and Taehyung." "How did you guys get my number?" "From Jungkook." "Ohhhh. Ok." I put there numbers in my phone and Taehyung replied to the group chat,
TaeTae: Thanks again Y/N for the stuffed animal!
Y/N: Your welcome Tae Tae.
ChimChim: I had fun today! We should do it again but with Jungkook next time.
TaeTae: Yeah we should
ChimChim: ok well goodnight guys see you tomorrow!
TaeTae: Goodnight!
Y/N: Goodnight see you tomorrow!
I finished eating my dinner and headed upstairs to go to bed. Once I got into bed I heard my phone ring so I grabbed it and it was a text from Jungkook.
Kookie: Did you make it home safe?
Y/N: Yeah just finished eating dinner. About to go to bed.
Kookie: I just wanted to let you know that I'm not gonna go to school tomorrow so I told Jimin and Taehyung to walk with you tomorrow.
Y/N: Oh ok. Why aren't you going to school tomorrow?
Kookie: My grandma got sick so we had to leave town for a little bit but I should be back tomorrow night.
Y/N: Ok. I hope your grandma feels better!
Kookie: Thanks. Goodnight Y/N!
Y/N: Goodnight Kookie!
I put my phone back on my nightstand and went to sleep.
