I just want to come out and thank my friends for introducing me to Doki Doki Literature Club. Although it's not the scariest video game I've seen (I personally thought that Until Dawn was scarier, in actuality) it still sent chills down my spine a couple times. And yet, I can't help but feel a little bad for Monika in the game. How would you like living in a world where everything anyone says or does is scripted? And so, after much thought, I decided to give her a story where she gets the ending she always wanted, and it puts me in a heroic light.
It also borrows some things from Bendy and the Ink Machine, as well as the Terminator, but that's for later.
