I sat upright quickly from my bed and gave a gasp as I heard a huge thunder echo outside. I was twisted between the sheets and breathing hard, my dream had been so vivid that it took me a large time to convince myself that it was just a dream and that it wasn't real, but I couldn't help myself but to close my eyes and remember.
I was standing in a huge field, it was nearly springtime, the snow was melting, and the air was warmer. I was in my huntress gear and I was surrounded, surrounded by thousands of vampires, vampire rebels. But there before me was him, William Falcon staring back at my eyes. The fear I had felt because of him was indescribable, it just made me shake in fear and my blood had run cold at the simple sight of him especially when he met my gaze.
It had all been a bad dream, a nightmare.
After a few seconds I gave up and got out from the bed, with the raging storm outside I couldn't sleep even if I found really odd that there were thunder and lightning mixed up with the snow storm, even for Russia's dramatic weather I found this odd. I got out of the bedroom and headed down the hallway to Eva's bedroom; I slowly opened the door and entered.
"Eva?" I said in a small voice.
I saw something move in the bed and after that, I heard Eva's soft voice.
"What's wrong darling?" She asked me, I could tell that there was some concern filling up her voice.
"I can't sleep," I told her.
Eva sat up and looked at me.
"Is it the storm?" Eva asked me.
I felt my cheeks burn.
"Yes, I know that this is so pathetic acting like a little girl so scared of the storm just like when I was six," I told her embarrassed.
Eva gave a small chuckle.
"But you're my little girl, but don't torture yourself with that even your mother after she was married and all she was still afraid of storms just like you, now come over here," Eva told me.
I gave a small sigh before I got in bed with her and placed my arms around Eva hugging her just like when I was a little when I was a little girl.
"Better now?" Eva asked me quietly as she smoothed my hair.
I nodded, it wasn't just the storm, but I had been used to sleeping in the bed with someone, with Ryder that now sleeping alone in a bed was hard for me, the bed with me alone was too big and cold for me.
"I'm much better, thank you, mum," I told her.
Eva laughed.
"Alice, darling when we're alone you don't have to call me mum, you don't have to pretend all the time that I'm your mum," Eva told me.
"But I'm not pretending you are my mum, I know that my mother, my real mother won't mind if I call you that since you have raised me as if I was your daughter as if you were my mother. If it wasn't for you I would have nothing, I would've been alone my whole life; you'll always be my mum no matter what." I told her as I buried my face between her shoulder and neck.
I felt Eva slightly kiss my forehead before I closed my eyes and I started to drift into a soft dream.
When I woke up I saw that Eva was already getting dressed in her huntress gear.
"In thirty minutes you'll have to go for the outside training, meanwhile breakfast is on the table and I have to go, I'll see you later Mathew and I have to go through the issue of the Spanish hunters," Eva told me.
I sat up on the bed and looked at her.
"Why is Antonio here?" I asked her.
Eva looked at me confused.
