Boundaries are important, especially when you're dating someone.
Of course, you and your boyfriend are (hopefully) abstaining from sexual intercourse until you are married, but what about non-sexual displays of affection? This is trickier, since it all depends on your personal views.
For example, some people (like the Duggars, for example) don't think you should even kiss until you're married, or that you shouldn't even hold hands with someone until you're engaged. This honestly seems a little extreme, but it all depends on what you and your boyfriend are comfortable with, and if your parents are actively involved in keeping you accountable, what they are comfortable with.
It also depends on self-control. Self-control is so important, especially in relationships. People with little self-control are more likely to break certain boundaries and this can lead to things that could have been avoided.
When you enter a dating relationship, it is important to communicate and agree on certain boundaries so you can both learn to have better self-control.
