Everyone went back to school on Monday. The long weekend kept everyone from reality. Many people did not show up to school today due to the death of Greg Anderson. Parents still panic at the thought of the child killer still on the lose.
English class was half empty, while an officer stood in the corner monitoring the class. Well that is what he said. He is here to keep an eye on Louis. Like he is going to murder the whole class in the 45 minutes and get away with it.
Louis had an alibi, he was with Hannah the whole night. When they both told their stories and answered the deputy's question their stories matched up. No Idea why the police still got their eye on him
"Welcome back everyone. I would like to start off this class with a remembrance of Greg Anderson." The teacher spoke up, her voice full of no emotion.
The class goes silent as everyone looks around at each other. The killer was at that party. Everyone is scared that the killer is right next to them.
"Everyone knows who the killer is," Heads turn towards the voice. Some people glance over at Louis sat a table with Dustin.
"He didn't kill anyone-" Dustin speaks up to defend for Louis.
"No, you're right. There is a killer in here," Louis glances back at Kerry. "She was deep in his blood."
"I found him like that..." Kerry says with an aggressive tone.
"Oh sure you did. New girl comes to and someone is dead." Louis stands up from his seat, turning himself to face Kerry.
I look over at Dustin as he looks over at him. I motion towards Louis. If he did not kill Greg he needs to chill out before he is taken to the station for causing a fight.
"Louis, chill out." Dustin stands up placing hand on his shoulder. Louis glances back at Dustin, then glares at Kerry before sitting back down. I keep my eyes on Kerry, her stare piercing into Louis's back.
"Okay class. Lets just start class."
-
"She just came to my party. Uninvited." Louis says, leaning on the wall by the lunch table. His anger face was targeted at Kerry.
"I did... but I didn't know that someone was going to die." I look down keeping my eyes on my untouched food.
"Next time ask me if you want to invite a nobody." Louis's harsh tone made me cringe.
"Give her a break. Okay?" Tori speaks up. Her body up against the side of mine. I quickly stand up. Feeling myself overheating and getting dizzy.
"I need some air." I say leaving everyone at the table as I make my way to the hallway. Once I got to the hallway, I heard giggling from the distance. Lance's voice spoke over it. I look down the hallway seeing Melody and Lance. I step behind a locker wall, spying on them.
Their words were inaudible. Just sounds of mumbles and giggles filled the hallway. Lance makes a move, placing his hand on Melody's arm. I turn from them placing my back on the lockers, closing my eyes for a second before pushing myself off the locker. I start to make my way to the cafeteria. The sound of a text rings on my phone. I reach into my pocket grabbing out my phone. From unknown,
'Spying is rude'
I look up from my phone quickly looking around for anyone else.
No one.
I quickly text them back.
'Who is this?'
My eyes stayed on my phone as the three dots showed typing. A suddenly pop sounds.
'7'
-
My mind kept spinning around the thought of these texts. Who is this? Are they a stalker? Do they know who the killer is?
Are they the killer?
Lance walks over to the lunch table, placing down a newspaper.
"A killer party no one will forget. Ha, I get what she did there." Lance laughs, sitting down next to Dustin. Him taking the paper out of Lance's hands.
"Mel stayed up all night writing this." Dustin flips to the first page reading over the story.
"I am so over this," Louis says walking over to the table leaning down over Dustin's shoulder reading the paper for a second then walking away. "I'll be back." Louis leaves the lunch room heading down the hallway.
"How did she get these pictures?" Lance says looking at the paper.
"She has a pass to crime scenes. She went yesterday before they started to clean up the scene." Dustin says closing the paper, sliding it back over to Lance.
The table fell silent. I quickly glance up seeing Kerry walk down the hallway past the cafeteria. The sound of a text comes from Hannah's phone. I watch as she picks up her phone as a smirk grows on her. I glance down at her phone, a text from Louis,
'Boys bathroom. 7 minutes till next period.'
"See you guys after school." Hannah grabs her bag, standing from the table. She turns on her heels as she heads out of the lunch room.
7? 7 minutes? The number 7 kept in my head. I grab out my phone looking at the texts sent from unknown.
'7'
This has to be a coincidence. No way Louis knew about 7. Or is Louis messing with me? My thoughts are interrupted by Lance and Dustin.
"We have to go talk to coach Bradley. See you two after school." Dustin says, standing up with Lance. They walk out of the cafeteria leaving me and Tori to ourselves.
"Shelly? Are you okay? After I dropped you off after Louis's house you didn't answer my texts." Tori says with a concerned voice.
"Yeah. Sorry. I just wasn't feeling the best. I took a lot of naps." I lied straight to her face and I felt bad. I got no sleep. I wanted to text her back but I scared about the mysterious text from at Louis's house.
"Okay-" Tori is cut off by a blood curling scream coming from the hallway.
"Hannah," Tori says quickly standing up as she starts to run out of the cafeteria going down the hallway as other follow. I stand up, following after Tori, pushing past people.
A crowd stood outside the boys bathroom. Tori fought her way through as I followed behind. She walks into the bathroom seeing Hannah staying in front of a stall. Her face in fear as tears fall rapidly from her eyes. I walk over to her, glancing into the stall her eyes were stuck on.
There lied Louis, the side of his head bashed in. His body in a pool of his own blood. Above him on the wall, written in blood.
'1 down'
My phone vibrates, I glance down at it. A text from unknown,
'6 to go'
