Darkness.

My body stiff, pain fills my body. My eyes feel glued shut. Faint sounds of beeps and machines enter my ears as small hearing comes back.

What happened?

Foot steps. Getting closer to me. A sudden whisper rings my ear. The voice so faint, unable to match the voice with the face.

'I am always here for you. A true friend, but do what I tell you not to and I will end you'

The footsteps start to fade. Walking away.

-

The beeps of machines got louder. My body still in pain, not being able to move or talk. My eyes still heavy and unable to open.

Light footsteps approach my bed side. Soft hands grab ahold of mine. A deep calm voice begins to talk, Tori.

"This all my fault. Hannah is dead because of me. Truth is, I like Hannah. We've been this secret thing for awhile. We were afraid to tell everyone plus she was with Louis."

A light sob begins.

"We lied to you. We both told you we were busy just so we could be together. Now Hannah has been killed and you are lying in a hospital bed."

Sniffles interrupt her.

"When I was over there. Someone rang the door bell, no one was there but a gift basket on the front step. It was full of wine and cheese. I was so dumb. With everything happening I should of known it was bad. "

The room goes silent, Tori soon continues.

"Someone drugged the wine. When Hannah called you. We were hallucinating. We thought the killer was after us when it was nothing. We soon passed out and an hour later."

"The killer came to the house and killed Hannah in her sleep."

Hannah was gone. Along with Louis.

The killer is out there while I'm stuck in a hospital bed.

-

Days later I have gotten better. I can open my eyes, to a blurry image. My hearing is fully back.

I look at the door as a figure walks in.

"Michelle. You're awake."

Dustin's voice gave the figure a name. The figure walks over, pulling over a chair. He sits down grabbing ahold of my hand.

"Listen, Michelle I don't tell you this enough but I love you and always will."

He pulls up my hand kissing it, causing pain to shoot through my body. I could not move. I just say there. In pain. So much pain.

"When you fully wake up. When you can come back to school. I'm not leaving your side.  With the car crash and the killer still out. I can't risk losing you."

His lips met mine. I sat there, emotionless. Everything starts to fade as my eyes close.

-

Weeks have passed. I have fully waken from my so called coma. I sit around all day minus the physical training. I currently can't walk on my own as my spine was broken in the crash. Recovery will take more time.

I sit watching tv as a light knock sounds from my door.

"Come in." I speak up with my still delicate voice.

Kerry walks in slowly as she closes the door after.

"Hey," she says walking over to the end of the bed looking at me. "I wanted to say I am sorry."

"For what?" Confusion in my voice made both us confused.

"They didn't tell you who crash into you?" I shake my head no. No one has told me anything. "Well, it was my dad. He was angry at my mom and left in a rush and crashed into you. I came to apologize for him."

Memories of the crash come back. Looking down at the text then up at the incoming truck. Bad memories.

"It's okay. I wasn't paying attention." I go silent, Kerry nods. Soon she quickly leaves the room.

-

In a couple days I get to go home. Physical training has gotten me walking on my own. I can't say I'm pain free but I am better. I want to stay in the hospital. I won't have to go to two funerals over the next week.

I can't believe Louis and Hannah are gone.

My phone rings from a text. I reach over to the side table grabbing my phone seeing it's the first text from unknown in weeks,

'Such star crossed lovers'
