(y/n)

My eyes hazily opened to see that I was in the bed that I had fallen asleep on.

... But I thought I told Sans to move me when he decided to head to bed himself....?

Curious, I climbed out of the bed and exited the room.

I looked down the stairs to see that Sans was sleeping on the couch.

As much as I want to be mad at him for not following my instructions, I can't. Sans has been nothing but kind since he's come into my life. He truly is like my knight in shining... Hoodie? No... That won't do...

... I got it!

He's my knight in shining bones! I'm a genius!

Giggling to myself at my childish title, I headed into the kitchen.

If I'm going to be living here, I might as well make myself useful.

Looking in the different cabinets, I realized that my options for cooking were very limited.

... Unless I go shopping...

Sans

"Sans..."

I don't want to wake up just yet.

"Go away Papyrus... Five more minutes..."

The voice giggled.

Wait... This can't be Papyrus...

... This voice is way too quiet and feminine to be Papyrus...

I slowly opened my eyes to see (y/n) mere inches away from my face.

All my concentration at the moment was holding back a blush from showing.

Though it was very difficult since a very beautiful creature was in front of me.

Gah! What am I even thinking about at the moment?

(y/n) giggled once more.

"Good morning sleepyhead." (y/n) said while pulling away from my face.

"Good morning (y/n)."

"Sorry for waking you, but breakfast is ready." (y/n) said while pulling out a plate of... Something... From behind her back.

"Thanks."

I then took the plate.

On the plate was some sort of bread which looked... Bruised?

"(y/n), if you don't mind me asking... What is this exactly?" I questioned, trying my best to not sound disgusted.

"THAT'S WHAT I ASKED TOO!" I heard Papyrus yell.

(y/n) only slightly jumped at Papyrus' sudden intrusion in the conversation.

"And what did she say?" I questioned.

"THEY'RE HER MOTHER'S RECIPE FOR BLUEBERRY PANCAKES WITH HOMEMADE SYRUP! I MUST SAY THAT THEY ARE SIMPLY AMAZING!" Papyrus answered.

So, that's what the 'bruised' parts were...

"If you don't want them, that's fine." (y/n) said with a frown.

Crap! Got to fix this fast!

"That's not it at all. I just haven't tried them before. I bet they're delicious." I reassured (y/n) before taking a bite.

They were absolutely incredible.

"Are they good?" (y/n) questioned with worry in her voice.

I nodded before going in for another bite.

(y/n) giggled in response.

"You are so cute." (y/n) said in-between her giggles.

My heart nearly stopped.

Me... Cute...!?

Even though my mind was racing a million miles a minute, (y/n) seemed to think nothing of it.

... What're with these thoughts I'm having today...?

We then finished our breakfast before Papyrus declared that he was going to go look for a human.

"Mind if I come too?" (y/n) questioned.

"Sure. But not until you prepare accordingly."

"How so?" (y/n) asked with a tilt of her head.

"Come with me." I instructed before grabbing (y/n)'s hand and leading her up to my room.

"What're you-"

I cut (y/n) off by handing her one of my many hoodies.

"Despite being a monster with a natural defense against the cold, it is obvious that it hasn't completely developed yet. The fact that you fainted in the cold shows that. So, as your protector, I won't let you leave until you're wearing this." I explained.

(y/n) took a second to let it sink in, before nodding her head in agreement.

"Alright then. I'll wear it. Thanks for taking care of me, Sans." (y/n) said before hugging me.

I hugged back.

"Anytime, Kid. Now get the hoodie on." I instructed while pulling away.

"Yes sir!" (y/n) said in a jokingly military voice, before putting the hoodie on.

It was a bit big on her. But it wasn't too big.

"Ready to go?" (y/n) questioned.

"Yep. I'll save us the trouble of walking and just teleport us there." I said before grabbing (y/n)'s hand and teleporting us to Papyrus' usual hunting grounds.

To (y/n)'s surprise, Papyrus had beaten us to the chase.

"He sure has energy to spare." (y/n) commented.

"I guess you could say that."

(y/n) then looked towards the entrance of the ruins.

"I wonder... Has Mother taken care of Chara yet?" (y/n) thought out loud.

Uh-oh. Better change topic of conversation. And quick!

"Uh... Did you know that I run a hot-dog business?"

(y/n) turned to me.

"No. I didn't. Do you run it by yourself?"

"Yeah. Though I can't say that the food quality is the best. I'm probably the reason Papyrus has such poor cooking skills..." My voice trailed off.

"Well, if you'd like, I'd be willing to help both you and Papyrus with your cooking skills if you'd like." (y/n) offered.

"Really? I'd love that."

(y/n) smiled.

"Now, how about we go visit Mother?" (y/n) suggested.

"No!"

(y/n)'s face showed one of utter confusion.

"Why not?"

"Um... Well... It's because... You see... Papyrus needs our help looking for a human. We don't want to abandon him now, do we?" I rambled on.

(y/n) didn't look completely convinced.

"I guess so..."

Sorry (y/n), but this is all in for your better interest.

(y/n)

Why do I have a feeling Sans' hiding something from me...?

But if so, what is it?
