(y/n)

I can't believe it.

I won't believe it.

There's no way Mother's dead.

There's no way!

It seems like Sans has teleported us to the castle's entrance.

"(y/n), I know things seem difficult right now, and I don't blame you. But we need to warn your father about what's going on. Please stand up."

That's when I realized that I hadn't moved since Sans had teleported us.

Pushing my thoughts aside, I stood up. I was a bit shaky, but I should be fine for now.

"Alright. Let's go. I know where the king goes during this time of day. He must be in his garden, watering his flowers." I instructed.

Sans and I then rushed inside the castle, and quickly found our way to the garden, where Father was indeed watering his flowers.

Upon hearing our footsteps, he turned to us. His face soon turned into a shocked expression.

"(y-y/n)?!"

Father looked shocked to see me, but also very, very happy.

"I'm not here because I want to. I'm here because I NEED to be here." I explained.

Father frowned.

"What would be so important that you'd exit the ruins to come see me?" Father questioned.

"There's a child named 'Chara' that's killing monsters everywhere. We need to evacuate everyone immediately, to make sure everyone's safe." I explained.

Father hesitated, before taking action to send out an alert to everyone using his magic.

"All done. Now I need you to do something." Father said.

"What?" I questioned.

Father then turned to Sans.

"Your name is Sans, is it not?"

"It is. What do you need?" Sans questioned.

"I need you to each take a human soul and travel to the surface. I'll fight Chara when she arrives here." Father explained.

"No! I won't do that! I can't abandon my family, my country, my people-"

"(y/n)! Do you think I'd do this if we had any other choice!?"

I couldn't respond to this.

"But... But... But... I won't-"

I was cut off by two human souls appearing in front of Sans and I. Sans then grabbed my waist, and pulled me right next to him.

"I'm sorry." Sans whispered.

I then felt the human soul connecting with mine, and a sudden burst of power filled up my own soul.

Sans and I then started to levitate, and I soon felt myself shooting towards the barrier.

I tried to fight, to get away, with no success.

"FATHER!" I screamed, as tears started to form.

That's when a flash of light blinded me, and I ended up blacking out.

Sans

(y/n)... I'm so sorry. I know you'll hate me for doing this. For taking you away from your family and people, but this is what must be done if we're to keep you safe. After all, that was what your father's final request was.

... Keep my daughter alive...

I fully intend to keep that promise.

Once we went through the barrier, I noticed how (y/n) had passed out. Guess going down the mountain will have to wait. For now, we need to rest.

... Sleep well, (y/n)...
