(y/n)
"Good morning mother." I greeted as I entered the kitchen.
"Morning (y/n). How did you sleep?" Mother questioned.
"I slept alright." I answered.
"That's good to hear. I'm almost done with breakfast. You can go play for a little bit if you'd like. I'll let you know when breakfast is ready." Mother said.
"Okay."
I then left the kitchen and headed to my room to continue working on my diary.
My thoughts were soon turned into words.
It's been over ten years now since I've come to the ruins with Mother; queen of the monsters. I guess that makes me the princess of the monsters. Though I don't really feel like royalty. How can I when I feel unable to help a majority of the monsters here in the underground?
I can't. That's the answer.
Over ten years ago, my father declared that all humans that fall down must be killed. Of course, Mother and I disagreed with our father, and hurried to the ruins to prevent the monsters from hurting the humans. Mother and I tried to prevent the humans that would fall down to not go out of the ruins.
But they never listened.
Now Father has six human souls. He only needs one more. Though, if he really was thinking straight, he'd use one soul to reach the surface, and find the rest on the surface. Perhaps use criminal souls to break the barrier instead of poor, innocent children.
Despite wanting to leave the underground, I won't let Father kill another innocent child. And I know Mother feels the same exact way.
We won't let Father get away with this.
No matter what.
"(y/n)! Breakfast's ready!" I heard Mother shout.
"Coming!" I responded.
I then set down my pen and closed my notebook.
Guess I'll have to finish this later.
As I entered the kitchen, Mother handed me a plate of my favorite food.
"Aw, thanks Mother!"
"Anytime darling. After all, you're my entire world. I'm going to go do my usual checking of the entrance to see if anyone has fallen. Be back in a while." Mother explained.
She then kissed my forehead before exiting the room.
Well... Since she's gone...
... I can sit in her favorite chair while I eat my breakfast!
I excitedly hurried to her favorite chair; the one next to the fireplace.
As I ate my breakfast, I wondered if a child would actually show up today.
Toriel
As I approached the entrance, I saw a child laying on the ground.
I hurriedly approached the child and checked to see if they were okay.
They looked back at me, an emotionless expression written on their face.
"Hello, dear child. My name is Toriel; caretaker of the ruins. And what may be your name?" I questioned.
The child gave me a smile before answering the question.
"My name is Chara."
Hello everyone! Welcome to my newest Undertale fanfiction (I have others on my profile if you're interested). For anyone who's confused, this is an AU (alternate universe) where Asriel never existed. You kind've take that place, instead that you never die. So yeah... Don't worry, you'll meet Sans soon enough. I just thought I'd add a bit of background to the story (for once... Hehe...). I hope to upload the first 3-5 chapters fairly quickly, but after that, I'll need to slow down so I can work on my (10ish) other stories. Other than that, I have nothing to say... So... Later! =^-^=
