After a while of searching for humans, Sans and I returned to the house. Papyrus said that he wanted to search a little bit longer.
When we entered the house, the warmth of the house instantly washed over me.
It feels nice to be inside.
But I still can't get the thought that Sans is hiding something from me...
"Hey Sans... Mind if I ask you something?" I questioned while sitting next to Sans, who was watching TV.
"Sure. Ask away." Sans replied, focusing on the TV.
My whole happy persona dropped and was replaced with a serious persona.
"What're you hiding from me?" I questioned.
Sans turned to me, looking slightly confused.
"What're you talking about?" Sans questioned.
"I think you know what I'm talking about. The fact that you tried to deliberately to make it so we wouldn't visit the ruins... Why is that?"
Sans didn't answer.
"Are you... Are you siding with the human?! Have you been plotting against my mother!?" I questioned, my mind quickly taking a direction of a darker road.
"No! That's not it at all!" Sans defended.
"Then what is the reason!?"
"I can't tell you..." Sans' voice trailed off.
"Why not!?"
"... Because it'd break your heart if I told you..."
What does this mean?
"Trust me when I say this..." Sans whispered while putting his hands on my shoulders.
"... I would never do anything to intentionally harm you..."
"How can I believe you? Especially when you won't answer my questions?" I questioned.
Sans was silent for a moment.
"I don't know how to answer your question. But please, you have to trust me on this one."
I sighed.
Mother obviously trusted this guy, so I guess I have no other choice but to trust him as well.
"Alright. I'll believe you. Mother must've seen something in you to trust you so much. I wonder what it was..."
"Must've been my good looks." Sans joked.
I couldn't help but giggle.
"Sure..." I said with a roll of my eyes.
Glad that this issue is finally resolved.

With a quick attack, I was able to knock Toriel off of her feet.
Toriel stood up... Just for me to land the finishing blow.
As Toriel started to turn to dust, she spoke.
"I'm sorry (y/n)... I hope you'll forgive me..."
She then completely disappeared.
Good riddance.
Now that she's gone, there's nothing stopping me from killing every single monster here in the underground...

As (y/n) and I were enjoying some TV and popcorn, we heard the front door open with a bang.
We both turned around to see Papyrus with an excited look on his face.
