Once a lady with airs and graces
Dressed in diamonds.
Manicured nails and painted faces
Flashy cars and fancy restaurants
Socialites and opera nights
Sunset cruises, indulgent spas.
Life for her has not been kind
Her dream is shattered
She's in despair.
Once a lady, now the maid
Polishing silver, her reflection she sees
Wonders how this came to be.
Her life now has come full circle
From diamonds to dusters
Fate had dealt her a blow.
Her heart skips a beat
As she catches a glimpse
Of who she once use to be.
