As clouds go sailing by
I wonder why
They're up so high
Is it just to cool the sun?
Or just to make it rain
Who knows the reason why?
Can anyone explain the reason why?
The sun stays hidden when it rains
Why does the sky turn grey?
Why does a rose smell so sweet?
Who chose the colours that they keep?
Is the Gardener to blame ...
Why is the fountain so alluring?
Why is the water's song so stirring?
Or is it just a tranquil serenity
Why are you drawn to the wishing well?
What makes you throw your penny in
Are there dreams you see within
Or is it just because ...
