"So what ARE we watching Twilight?" Cadence asked her Sister in law and fellow Princess. After the group had gotten comfey. With Celestia sitting on the far right, with her sister Luna sitting right next to her, and Cadence, next to her, and finally Twilight seatteded to the far left. That left Sunset to claim the recliner chair, much to the unicorn's happiness.

Said Alicorn of Friendship simply got comfortable in her seat as she got the remote ready. "It's called "If the Emperor had a Text-To-Speech Device." and I don't know anything about it, or why Deadman and his friends wanted us to watch it,"

"Well no reason to sit around and guess all day, the faster we watch it, the faster we can go home," commented Sunset as she got comfey.

"Agreed, we just need to play his game for the time and he should let us go," Celestia said in agreement. While also thinking this would give her the chance to spend time with her daughter some more.

"I agree with them, so let's go forth and watch the first episode!" Luna said, with her usual brand of enthusiasm.

"Well first off we need to watch this introduction to the show and world we are about to watch," Twilight said as she pressed play on the remote.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Narrator: It is the 41th millenium, for more than 100 centuries The Emperor of Mankind has sat immobile on the golden throne of Earth.
"41th Millenium..." muttered out Twilight, wide eyed at the year. No civilisation has lived that long in both the pony or human world!
"Well... this story is set in the way future," Cadence said, while trying to joke, even is she was surprised at the date.
"I don't think even me or my sister will ever live that long," commented Celestia. Her sister nodding her head in agreement.
While the others where surprised at the date of time that the show took place, Sunset Shimmer was thinking on what she just heard. "41th Millenium.... Emperor..."
He is the master of mankind by the will of the Gods, and master of a million worlds, by the might of his inexhaustible armies.
"They're really building this Emperor up," Cadence whispered in awe. She couldn't wait to see this powerful being.
he is a rotting carcass, riving invisibly with power from the dark age of technology.
And like that, any fantasies where destroyed. Ground up to dust and casted into the wind, especially when a image of the Emperor was shown to the group. A few of them wanted to puke after seeing the rotten corpse sitting on a golden throne. Though Sunset seemed shocked for a completely different reason.
"Holy crap! This is Warhammer!" shouted the sun themed unicorn. Her shouting snapped the rest of the group out of their stupor.
"What was that?" Luna asked.
"It's a tabletop game that's really popular back in the human world, and even got a few games and books, and a list of other stuff based off it," explained Sunset.
"So... we're watching something about a board game?" Cadence asked. Maybe the chaos gods should've brought shining here instead. He would of loved this.
"Maybe?" Sunset said with a shrug.
"What? I thought you knew about this." Twilight said with a bit of annoyance.
"Hey! I played a few rounds of the game before i was banned from playing it!" the unicorn snapped.
Looking at her daughter, Celestia asked. "Why were you banned?"
"*sigh*... Because I was getting carried away, and was using every known trick in the book to swarm my oponentes with Orks, before my oponente could make a move..." the sun themed Unicorn answered her mother.
"So i'm guessing you don't know much of this world then?" Luna asked her niece. Getting a nod from said niece in the process.
He is the carrion lord of the vast imperium of man, to whom 1000 souls are sacrificed everyday so that he may never truly die....
"....oh ya... i forgot that part..." Sunset muttered while the rest of the group was shocked at that tidbit of info.
Yet even in his deathless state, The Emperor continues his eternal vigilance.
Mighty battle fleets cross the demon-infested miasma of the warp, the only route between distant stars, their way lit by the astromunican, the psychic manifestation of the Emperor's will.
"Wait... even in his current state, he can send people across the stars?" Twilight said in aew, even if she didn't agree to the 1000 souls thing.
Vast armies give battle in his name on uncounted worlds.
Greatest among his soldiers are the Adeptus Astartes, The Space Marines, bio-engineered super warriors, their comrades in arms are legion.
The Imperial Guard and countless planetary defense forces, the ever vigilant Inquisition, and the Tech-Priests of the Adeptus Mechanicus to name only a few.
"Well with an army that vast, it's no wonder that he's considered so powerful," Luna Commented.
"And we also have to take in account his own power as well, that was most likely used to unit said army under his banner," added in Celestia.
But for all their multitudes, they are barely enough to hold off the ever present threat to humanity, from aliens, heretics, mutants, and far far worse...
"What could be so bad that an army of such power could not handle?" Cadence asked.
"Something I hope we never have to face," whispered Twilight.
To be a man in such times, is to be one amongst untold billions, it is to live in the cruelest and bloodiest regimes imaginable.
"Is this world about nothing but suffering?" asked Luna.
"Pretty much..." muttered Sunset.
These are the tales of those times, forget the power of technology and science, for so much has been forgotten, never to be relearned... forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in the grim dark future there is only war..
"I hope the human world you live in never goes through this Sunset..." muttered Celestia, wondering if she should bring her daughter back home before something like this happens.
there is no peace amongst the stars.. only an eternity of carnage and slaughter.... and the laughter of thirsty Gods.
The last part left everyone in the group shivering. Wondering if maybe they should be more careful around the gods that in inserted themselves into their lives.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Well... that was foreboding," Sunset said.

"I was hoping my first time watching something with you would be fun... not this grimdark universe," muttered Cadence. Now she wished she was back home.

"Ok ladies!" Twilight said with a raised voice, getting the group's attention. "While we might not like this, we still have to watch this, if we want to get back home, so let's just settle in and get through this together," the princess of friendship said, hoping to get everyone motivated to get this over with.

And it seemed to work as most of the group was more motivated to start watching the show, though Twilight noted that Sunset didn't seem too bothered about the show in the first place. Must because she's lived in the world that created the game that this show was based off of.

Well no matter, it was nothing to dwell on, and anyways the more important matter was that the group was ready to get this over with, and delve into a show that was surely going to have nothing but drama, and bloodshed!

Boy... weren't they in for a surprise.
