You chose moon over stars

I was the person, who cringed away from the thought of being in darkness, because I was afraid of it.
Today I'm the person whose life is conditionally determined by darkness, because darkness gives me that soothing pleasure, that for a tiny moment, just for a little moment, heals my wounds.

I was the person, who would find out small joyous moments in everything.
Today I'm the person who laughs at the word ' Happy' and finds peace in tormenting agony, because the thought of ever being able to be happy stabs me like shooting pain.

I was the person, who would easily cheer up someone when they were torn up.
Today I'm so broken up, that I cant even comfort myself, how can I take away someone's distress? Because comfort is something i needed the most, and I never got since you gave me the pain which has no cure.

I was the person, who would constantly chatter around, even when not required.
Today, I let silence say it all, because you made me realise that words are worthless, and talking and explaining does not sort everything, because people tend to seek things only from their way of considering the matter and not yours.

I don't know how, of all the prisons in the world, I got trapped in yours. Im so latched to the excruciating pain that you gave me, that you just did not break my heart, but also shattered my soul into numerous pieces. Its quite of a talent that you changed a person completely, that today, no happiness can fill the void you left in my heart.

Just one day, look up, into the sky, once on the full moon day, and the other on the new moon day. My love for you is like stars. Always present in the sky, but not bright enough like the moon. But you chose moon over stars. You think that full moon stays is forever in the sky, but, you have not yet seen the new moon day. And believe me, when you see it someday, you will perceive that the stars are forever. You will still see the stars, because my love for you, will never vanish.
