See You Again (ChanBaek)

Jongin walked into school with a goofy grin on his face the next morning. He had his friend back. And for the first time in a long time, when Kyungsoo saw him, he no longer turned away. Instead, the boy quickly bid goodbye to who he was talking to and rushed over to Jongin, rushed over to warmth and comfort and acceptance.

A quick thank you left Kyungsoo's lips as the crowd around them started to buzz. Accusations of he's cheating! and Chanyeol's going to be furious! circulated. Neither Kyungsoo nor Jongin cared.

When Chanyeol himself stepped foot into the building with Baekhyun at his side, he took one glance at Kyungsoo and smiled at him genuinely (for what was probably the first time ever), and laughed at Baekhyun, who was rapidly blinking his eyes to make sure it wasn't some trick of the light.

"Hey, when did that happen?"

"Yesterday." Chanyeol grinned.

"Why do I have a feeling that somehow, you're involved?" Baekhyun looked at Chanyeol suspiciously.

"And the idiot thought that he wasn't loved." Chanyeol completely ignored Baekhyun's question and headed for the stairs, running up them and disappearing.

Idiot indeed, Baekhyun thought, his grudge still not completely gone. You really didn't have to make my life hell, you know.

"Hey Baekhyun." Kyungsoo walked over as if he could hear Baekhyun's thoughts. "I have a lot of apologizing to do, don't I?"

"Yes you do," Baekhyun responded curtly.

"I guess I let my jealousy get the best of me." Kyungsoo looked at Jongin, who was staring right back at him, "Again.

"I know we were never really that close... Chanyeol was the one who kinda brought us together, and broke us apart. Maybe he can bring us together again? If you'll allow it, I mean. To be honest, I never really like liked him that much... I was a spur of the moment decision—and a really stupid one at that. So... sorry for everything, really. I mean it. Can we start over?" Kyungsoo stuck out his hand awkwardly.

"Yeah, yeah we can." Baekhyun took Kyungsoo's hand and shook it once. "Acquaintances?"

Kyungsoo laughed. "Acquaintances. Now go find Chanyeol. We aren't anything anymore, never really were."

Baekhyun nodded and ran up the stairs, going up the way Chanyeol had ran five minutes ago.

"Chanyeol?" Baekhyun's voice rang out in the empty hall. "Yeol? Where are you?" He peeked inside a few classrooms. No luck.

His phone buzzed in his pocket. It was Kyungsoo.

Hey, he came downstairs to break up with me. Don't move, I told him that you were upstairs.

Baekhyun chuckled.

I can't believe you are being so casual about it.

Oh, he just broke up with me, no biggie.

Like wow.

Shush.

Baekhyun heard heavy footsteps behind him, and when he turned around, Chanyeol crashed into him. Baekhyun's face landed in the giant's warm chest and he smiled when he heard Chanyeol's racing heart. He stuffed his phone in his pocket and wrapped his arms around Chanyeol, relieved when he felt long arms wrap around his back and lift him up long enough for Chanyeol to steal a quick kiss.

"Date me?"

"Yeesh, you really don't wait, do you?" Baekhyun clung onto Chanyeol's waist and chuckled.
