Chapter 46

Farhan POV

I woke up by ringing of my cellphone. I didn't know when I slept. I looked at the my life whose still sleeping not waking up. Oxygen mask was on her mouth, by whose help she was breathing. I looked at the time on my phone and saw it's 8 in the morning.

Again my phone start ringing, I answered it once I saw Ahmed is calling me.

"What happened to Maha?" was the first thing I heard once I answered him.

"She is in ICU."

"What did the doctor say?"

"If she'll not awaken in 24 hours, she'll be gone in coma."

"Don't take worry. She'll be wake up soon. Leave it all on Allah. He'll surely blessed Maha with good health."

"InshAllah."

"I'm coming there as I know there is more."

"Yeah."

I hanged up as he was coming. I went near Maha and kissed on her forehead. "I'm missing you." I whispered in her ear hoped she heard me. I felt pain in my neck as I slept on the couch in sitting position.

I called my PA and told him to cancel all my meetings and clear my schedule for few days. Few minutes later, the door of the room opened and in come Ahmed with Shamsa mami and Siddique mamu. "Ya Allah! What happened to her?" She asked looking shocked as she saw Maha. "Food poisoning." I lied her. I looked at Ahmed and mamu, they both understand that I was lying. I motioned them to follow me.

I knew there was one private room which on one knows. They both followed me there. Once we reached there, I explained everything to them about what the doctor said. They both looked shocked as well angry as I was angry. "Farhan, go home and freshen up. We are here." Ahmed said. I shook my head and said, "Not until she'll wake." Mamu sigh and said, "Go to home, beta. Go and freshen up and have breakfast. Fine not for yourself but for Maha. She'll never like it when she will know you haven't eaten." I thought and sigh with a nod of approval. I know she never like when I skipped one of the meal.

I went to the home and took a quick shower, and ate a half sandwich as I was not feeling hungry. I felt some type of disturbance in the house like someone broke in our house or like something is wrong here. I locked our room, my office and library as there were some important things. I also ordered the security to guard the house strictly.

I quickly went back to the hospital and saw khala ammi with Moosa and Adeel mamu there. Khala ammi hugged me and said, "Allah will wake her up soon." I nodded my head and went inside the room with khala ammi behind me. "Did you eat anything?" Khala ammi asked. I hummed and nodded my head as my eyes were still on Maha.

Suddenly, the machine which was telling about her heartbeat start beeping loudly. Her heartbeats slowed down and her breath was uneven. Her chest was falling up and down quickly. The doctor was also present here when all this happened. He told all of us to go out of the room. Khala ammi pulled me out of the room.

I can't lose hope, I know she'll be fine because she promised me she'll not leave me. I sat on the bench with my head in my hands. I felt hands on my shoulder and head. I looked up and saw Adeel mamu and khala ammi looking at me. "She'll be fine, Farhan. Just have faith in Allah." Khala ammi said with a sad smile. I nodded my head and sigh. "I don't want to lose her." I confessed looking down at my hands. "You are not going to lose her." Adeel mamu said. I smiled sadly looking at the ring in my finger which Maha put it on our little engagement ceremony.

The doctor came out of the room after half an hour later and looked at me. "Congrats, Mr. Malik. Your wife is out of danger now. Her condition is stable now and she'll be wake up soon." He said with a smile making me sigh in relief and happiness. "Only one person is allowed to see her." He said looking at me. "Go, beta." Siddique mamu said patting my shoulder. I nodded my head and went inside the room.

I opened the door and looked at her as I went near her. "Mano." I breathed her name out. I sit beside her carefully and creased her cheeks gently. "You scared me for a minute." I said looking at her. I kissed on her forehead and lingered my lips there for a minute. "Farhan." I heard her whispering my name. I quickly pulled away and looked at her who was slowly opening her eyes. "Mano." I called her making her looked up at me. She gave me her small lazy smile making the corners my lips turned up.

I can't stop myself as I pressed my lips with her, telling her how much I was scared and missed her. I pulled away because I knew she need oxygen. She looked at me with red cheeks and shy smile. She tried to move her hand but winced as IV was attached to her hand. She looked down at her hands then around the room. She looked confused for few minutes then quickly turned her head and looked at me. "What happened to me?" She asked looking at little scared. "Nothing happened to you. What matter is that you are here with me." I said as I don't want to give her stress.

She slowly nodded her head and looked in my eyes. "You haven't slept properly." She whispered looking guilty. "Don't worry when I have you in my arms then I'll sleep properly." I said kissing her forehead. "Let me call the doctor." I said standing up. She nodded her head and I went out of the room. "Farhan, is she alright now?" Khala ammi asked as everyone stood quickly when I exit from her room. I nodded my head with a small smile. "She is conscious now." I said and everyone mumbled Alhamdulillah. I saw the doctor coming my way and I looked at him. "She is conscious." I informed him. He nodded his head and went inside her room. I went behind him, follow him to the room.

I stood near her bed at a little distance as doctor was checking her. The doctor asked her questions. "Did you feel any pain before you fainted?" He asked her. She nodded her head. "Where?" He asked her again. I narrowed my eyes at her and thought, Why she didn't tell me? "In my head and stomach." She said in her little voice. "Since when this all started?" The doctor again asked. "A week before when I caught cold." She said looking everywhere but me. The doctor nodded his head and motioned me to follow him. I looked at Maha and whispered in her ear, "I'll be back." She nodded her head and I kissed on her forehead before I went out of the room.

I stopped for a second and said to khala ammi and Shamsa mami to company her. They both nodded their head and went in her room. Ahmed also came with me in doctor office. "Mr. Malik, I think you should keep an eye on her food as what is in her food. If this happens again, I don't think we'll save her next time." Doctor said as he sat on his chair. I clenched my hands and nodded my head. He wrote some medicines for her and also what to give her for eat.

I entered in the room and looked at Maha who quickly looked at me as I entered. I gave her a smile which she returned. I went near her and khala ammi asked me, "What did the doctor say?" "Nothing just prescribed some medicines and what to give her for eat." I said. "Afeefa appi has Maham and Mawra to take care, and I have Aiman to take care. So I and appi decided to send Esha to your house, she'll help Maha." Shamsa mami said. I nodded my head looking at Maha who was smiling because I knew she wanted a girl company.
