Chapter 5

Maha POV

I excused myself and went to the washroom. I splashed water on my face and look in the mirror. The girl I'm seeing is not the same girl anymore. Her eyes have it's little shinning and sparking back. But I don't know the reason behind it.

I exit the washroom and went back to the food court area. On the way, a langha caught my eyes. I went to that shop and buy it. After buying, I went back to the food court area. When I reached there, I saw everyone there and no seat in empty except the chair beside Farhan.

I sit beside him. "So you went alone for shopping. You don't like my company. I'm wounded." he whispered and place his hand on his heart. I chuckled and said "Its not that I don't like your company. You don't let me buy anything for myself."

After buying that dress from the shop, he bought McDonald's for me. "What are you both talking?" asked Daood bhai with mischievous smile. Farhan glare at him and said rudely "None of your business." "He was just asking me what I bought." I said Daood bhai nicely and glare at Farhan. Moosa bhai and Ahmed bhai start coughing. "Are you OK?" I asked them. They both nodded their head.

Today is Quran Khani for our house and I'm going to give Dadu and Fahad surprise. "Dadu and Fahad are you both ready?" I asked them once I entered in living room. Zuhaib bhai (Khadija Husband) helped me moving all Fahad luggage at our house without him knowing. And for dadu luggage, I buy new clothes for dadu.

I can't believe bare abbu and bari ammi can do this to dadu. Who left their parents like this. I remember when I went to old age house informing them and clear the paperwork, they told me how bare abbu inject dadu and left him there, he also throw dadu luggage there and left him.

"Beta why did you blindfolded us?" asked dadu. "Yes appi. Tell is na please." said Fahad. "Don't worry guys you both will know in 5 minuterls why I did this to you." I said them. After five minutes later, we arrived at our house well it's mansion which my father made with his own hands. He helped all the labours to make this house. I went toward the door where khala's family is waiting. Everyone will start coming in half an hour.

"Everything ready?" I asked Zubair bhai and khalu greeting everyone. "Yes beta everything is ready." said khalu. "Thank you so much guys for helping me." I said them. "Khabar dar next time shukria kaha tm b is family ka part ho." said khala. I nodded my head and hug her. "They are waiting for me." I quickly rushed toward the car and help Fahad and dadu to come out of the car. "OK when I say 3 you can move the blindfold from your eyes." I said them. "1 2 and 3"

They move blindfold from their eyes and blink several times looking around. "Beta." said dadu with tears in his eyes. "We are living there now. I move all your luggage there." I informed them. Dadu and Fahad hugged me tightly but I didn't complain them.

"MashAllah, yeh kalwa bth mazay ka bnaya hai apne beta." said Adeel uncle. Everyone nodded their head and start praising my cooking skills. "Thank you." I said them with slightly blush. I'm not use of people to compliment me in good way.

I'm in kitchen helping the maids to clean the plates and everyone left except khala's family, Adeel uncle and Siddique uncle family, and Afeefa aunty family. After helping the maids, I was about to enter in the living room but stop when I heard. "I want your daughter Maha to become my daughter by marrying my other son Farhan." said Afeefa aunty. My heart start beating fast like it will explore anytime. "But-"

"Abbu sorry to cut you but Farhan is a good man. He will keep our Mano happy." said Adeel uncle cutting dadu. "I think we should leave this on Maha. It's her life after all." said khala. You know khala about my past, how can I move on easily. He is a good guy he deserves better than me. No one will accepts me too easily.

I took few steps back but a vase fell on the floor as my hand touch it. Everyone turn around and look at me. "Acha howa ap aagai beta. Abhi hum apke bare me bte kre the. Beta apko Farhan kesa lgta hai as a life partner." (That's good you are here. We were talking about you. Tell us will you take Farhan as your life partner) asked Shamsa aunty as she comes near me. I shook my head and said "I-I can't marry him." "Why?" asked Maryam aunty.

I close my wet eyes as tears start flowing down and whispered "Because I'm divorced." Both aunty gasp and Siddique uncle asked "What do you mean you are divorced?" Dadu explained them what happened three years before.

Flashback

I was continuously crying but bare abbu didn't listen me. "Bare abbu please why you are doing this to me?" I asked him. I'm in bridal dress. He blast a bomb on me today saying I'm going to get marry. But it's not a my marriage, it's my deal. He is dealing with one of the company because he was in debt, he took too much money from that company. Now he is dealing by marrying me with him and in return he will get more money. I start sobbing and hugged dadu.

"Please dadu do something." He hugged me tightly and said bare abbu "You are not taking her anywhere with. If you do this then forget about me and that you are my son." Bari ammi pulled me away from dadu. They send Fahad somewhere out. So he can't stop me. Danish locked dadu in his room. "Please. Please don't do this to me." I pleaded him but he didn't listen to me.

"Do you Maha Ahsan, daughter of Ahsan Faisal accept Asif Zamir, son of Muhammad Zamir as your husband?" asked immam sahab. I didn't replied him. He asked me one more time, this time I also didn't replied. When last time he asked me, bari ammi shook me and glare at me. "Qa-qabool hai." I said three times closing my eyes with shaky voice and teary eyes.

I start sobbing while bare abbu hug Imman sahab. I sign on the papers, it's not my wedding papers it's contract paper. They deal my life. They send me airport with him after signing the papers.

Farhan POV

Driver is driving the car while I'm sitting in the back seat with khala ammi. We are going to Maha house for Quran Khani. "Beta what you decided? I mean about Maha. Should I asked Maha hand for you from her dadu?" asked khala ammi.

"You know I never saw you smiling but when we were in mall for wedding shopping I was surprised to see you smiling and laughing like that. I was feeling happy to see you like this. She is the reason behind your smile and happiness. Please say yes." She said when I didn't response her.

I look at her and nodded my head. "OK khala ammi then ask for her hand. If they say no then I'll have my ways." I said her with smile. "She will say yes to you InshAllah." said khala ammi kissing my forehead. "InshAllah." I said.

After Quran Khani khala ammi said to her dadu "I want your daughter Maha to become my daughter by marrying my other son Farhan." "But-" Her dadu is about to said something but Adeel uncle cutting him saying "Abbu sorry to cut you but Farhan is a good man. He will keep our Mano happy." "I think we should leave this on Maha. It's her life after all." said her khala.

We all turned around when we heard something fell on the floor, we saw Maha stand there with shocked expression and tensed. "Acha howa ap aagai beta. Abhi hum apke bare me bte kre the. Beta apko Farhan kesa lgta hai as a life partner." (That's good you come here. We were talking about you. Tell us will you take Farhan as your life partner) asked Shamsa aunty as she go near to her.

She shook her head and said "I-I can't marry him." "Why?" asked Maryam aunty. She close her eyes as tears start flowing down her face and whispered "Because I'm divorced." Both aunty gasp and Siddique uncle asked "What do you mean you are divorced?" Her dadu explained us what happened three years before.

I can't believe she have to gone through something like this in past three years. "I will still marry you." I said her looking in her red eyes. "Beta think about it. Give him a chance." said Shamsa aunty to her. She took few steps back and said "I want time." I nodded my head and said "OK then take your time." She turned around and went upstairs.
