Chapter 55

Maha POV

I was about to take the report out when I heard my phone ringing. I sighed and placed the envelope on the table. I took a deep breath and looked at my phone. I clammed myself before answering the phone.

"Assalam o Alaikum!"

"Walaikum Assalam! Mano how are you?"

"Alhamdulillah and you? Is there anything happen because you sounds happy."

"Alhamdulillah I am too good now. You have no idea my love, my jaan, my life how much happy I am.... Abbu woke up this morning."

I sat in shocked then smiled and spoke, "What? He woke up. Congratulations Farhan."

"You are the first person to whom I inform first. Doctors said that they will discharge him soon. Abbu is very happy but sad. He wanted to meet his daughter in law. I told him about you when he asked me who I brought me once when we were here. Abbu listened us.... Maha.... I want to hug you... I am missing your presence very much. Now just wait for few more days then I will return to Pakistan with abbu."

"And I will waiting for you. I wish I could hug." I said looking at the picture of him which I had in on my table.

"Wait I video call you."

He video called me and I saw his handsome face which had a big smile. He moved the camera and walked somewhere then I saw him but not alone with abbu.

"Assalam o Alaikum!"

"Walaikum Assalam! How are you beta?"

"Alhamdulillah abbu and how are you?"

He smiled when I called him abbu. "Alhamdulillah all good now beta. Tell me (He looked at Farhan) this boy takes good care of you or not?"

I smiled looking at them and said, "No abbu. He takes good care of me." We all talked more and it felt amazing talking with abbu. I missed my abbi after talking with him.

After talking two hours, I hanged up the phone and placed my phone on table with a smile but it vanished as I saw my report. I took a deep breath and picked the envelope with trembling hands.

I opened the envelope and pulled out the reports but stopped when I heard a knock on the door. I quickly placed the report back in the envelope and placed that envelope in the drawer of the table.

"Come in." I said taking a breath. An employee came and told me that they need my help in some designs. I got up and went out of my cabin with her.

I was on the way home but felt that I forget something but didn't know what and felt tiredness. I closed my eyes and rest my head on the window.

Everyone on the dinning table looked happy and laughed because of our little Ibrahim. Soon the dinner served which I was thankful because I felt hungry like I hadn't eaten anything for years.

I ate dinner silently when I remembered I forgot my report in office. I closed my eyes and sighed quietly. After dinner I went in my room and offered Isha. I laid on the bed feeling tired and lightheaded.

I pressed my eyes together and thought about the report. How can I be so stupid and irresponsible? I sighed loudly and picked my phone. I wanted to Farhan voice badly. I tried to call him but no answering.

"The number you have dialing is switched off." said the robotic voice making me frown.

I looked at the screen and saw a message on my notifications. I opened the message and saw it from Farhan.
