Chapter 45

Farhan POV

I received a latter from unknown person and its saying,

Keep a close eye on your wife. She is really very hot and have a sexy body which I want to touch.

I ripped the letter and throw it in the bin. After reading it, I felt my body visibly shaking in anger. I slammed my hands on the desk and breath heavily. I closed my eyes and her beautiful face appeared in front of my eyes making me relax. I opened my eyes and called her. She was in khala ammi house right now. I told her I'll be there.

I know she didn't believe when I said her it's just work which I'm worrying about. I didn't want to lie but I didn't want to tell her about that stupid letter.

I was noticing her behavior. I didn't understand what was happening to her and why did she behaving different. She was also looking pale for few days. I had to take her to the doctor.

I looked at my watch as I entered the house looking for my wife. Like she always opened the door for me but not now from few days. I asked Gul bano about Maha and she told she went in our room.

I felt like something was not fine so I quickly rushed in the room and called her. "Mano?" "Maha?" I called her several times then looked in dressing room and at the last in the washroom. Her face was yellow and she was not standing properly, her legs were shaking. I quickly rushed toward her as she was about to kiss the ground.

"Maha?" I tap on her cheeks making her open her eyes. "I.. can't.. unde... rstand.. what is.. happ.. ening.. to me. I.. m.. fee..ling.. my who.. le.. body.. on fi.. re. It's.. look.. li.. ke.. I.. m.. going.. to.. d.. di..e." She said opening her eyes a little and her breath quicken. Her breath is slowing down. I quickly picked her and rushed down the stairs, out of the house. By now the servants in the kitchen looked at my arms where my life was fainted. "Shawaiz!!" I yelled his name.

He looked in my arms then rushed to open the door of the car. He opened the door and I sat in with Maha in my arms. He start the car to the hospital while I tried to make her open her eyes. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and called to the hospital. Once the phone answered, I start ordering.

"I'm Farhan speaking and I want to inform that my wife is fainted and I'm taking her to your hospital, and I want everything ready." I said dangerously because right now I didn't care about anything.

"O.. K. Sir." The receptionist said and quickly hanged up the phone.

That hospital is belong to me and they all knew me very well. Once we reached there I took Maha out of the car and put her on the stretcher as they were waiting for her. They took her in the ICU while I waited for any news out of the ICU.

I sat on the bench outside the ICU looking up at the red light, waiting for it to turn green. I silently prayed for her. I wanted to see her smiley face and wanted to hear her laughing. Few hours later, when the clock hit 3 in the night, the light turned green. I quickly stood on my feet as the door opened.

The doctor came out of the ICU and looked at me in fear. He gulped then cleared his throat. "Mr. Malik, can I spoke to you in my office? Umm.. This is very important." He said. I nodded my head and follow him to his office but he stopped suddenly and looked at me again gulping. "I think you should first set some security around Mrs. Malik." He said looking everywhere but me. I raised my eyebrows at him then quickly messaged Shawaiz to guard outside Maha room.

Once we both sat in his office, I motioned him to tell me what's the matter. "I don't know how to tell you this. See Mr. Malik, we stomach washed your wife. Umm-" "Stomach washed?" I asked cutting him as my body tensed. He cleared his throat and looked afraid. "Mr. Malik, we found poison in her stomach which was spreading slowly in her whole body but we get rid off it before it harms her seriously." He explained me. I clenched my hands in a fist and asked in cold voice, "Poison?" "Yes, he was very dangerous type of poison which slowly make the person tired then slowly shut the brain of the person. She is lucky as it was just starting to do any serious damage." He explained further.

I looked at him then said, "I don't want this information to leak. I'll take care of it on my own. If anyone asked tell them it's just food poison." He nodded his head because he knew what is good for him. "Is there anything more?" I asked observing his reaction. He nodded his head and said in frightened voice, "If she is not conscious in 24 hours then maybe she'll go in coma." I felt someone throw the cold water bucket on me. "Can I see her?" I asked him. He nodded his head.

I quickly went in the ICU and my eyes fell on my Maha who is looking pale, many tubes attached to her, and an IV attached to her arm and hand. I stood near her bed and kissed on her forehead. "Please wake up soon, Mano. I need you. I need you to scold me on my childish behavior. I want to see your beautiful smile which automatically illuminate the room. I want to hear your laughing and giggles which I love when I know I'm the reason behind it. Please wake up soon." I whispered last line in her ear and kissed it. I kissed her forehead and sat on the couch near her bed, looking at her.
