Chapter 9:
The familiar sound of the unlocking. "What's for food today biff?" I questioned the the stalky guard. He placed the food on the tv stand, grunted, then walked out. He never says anything unless Alex is there.
After Biff locked the door I walked over to see what it is. Of course PB&J, an apple and water. I've eaten that..let's see...14 times now!! Everyday was the same. I would run in place for about 10mins. before I run out of breath, eat, sleep, then the it starts all over again. All I can hope is this day would be different but it never is. I'm not even sure if I can hope anymore I just wish.
I finished the food when I heard some shouting. Alex camping storming in. He was drenched with water. His dirty blonde hair fell straight down his face clumping into pieces dripping water. His white shirt see through so you could easily see his very sculpted six pack. Woah he has a six pack?! I did not see this one coming! I mean ya he is muscular but...
Alex cleared his throat. "Excuse me, my eyes are up here," he chuckled. I could feel my cheek fume bright red. "Phew! It smells in here!!" He stated. No dip Sherlock?! I thought it smelled like flowers, considering I haven't been allowed to shower since I got here! So about a month! "Oh really!" I raised my eye brows hoping he would let me clean my self! That would be a gift from heaven!! "Hmm," he reaches around the door and pulls something towards him. As he holds it to his face I see it's a clip board.
"Sassy," he pretends to right down. I just stare at him. "So why do you look like you just jumped in and out of a pool?" I questioned with curiosity. "A pipe broke, so want a shower or would you rather smell?" He laughed at my sudden expression change of happiness, "Shower it is! Nettie!!", a short African American girl immediately appeared at his side, "Please escort Miss. Amber to the locker room! Be sure to give her the best stuff and clean new clothes!!" Alex commanded. "Yes sir!" Nettie almost sang,"Follow me!" she smiled. I looked over at Alex waiting for him to laugh and say just kidding. But he nodded his head toward Nettie and smiled.
