An Unpredictable Summer : Jack Dail FanFic

Post Party part 2

-----Ray's POV-----

I wake up in the morning laying in bed thinking about last night. I turn to my side and I see a text from Jack. Great but I reply

"Yeah but I didn't feel to well :( yeah when and where?"

I got out of bed and turned on the shower. When I cry I get sweaty and gross. So I step in the steaming hot water. When I was done I flat ironed my hair then put it in a side braid with a big yellow flower clip clipped in.  I put on a yellow floral crop top with white shorts.

When I walk back over to my dresser I grab my phone and I see a text from Jack

J- 1:00 come over

R- Ok see you then

I look at the clock and it's 11:30. I go downstairs and I see Kade watching TV. He's really pale and sweaty

"Kade do you feel ok?" I ask putting the back of my hand on his forehead

He shakes head no. I go to the hall bathroom and I take out the thermometer from the medicine cabinet. I walk back in and I take Kades temp. 100.8. I frown.

"I'm going out with Jack for a bit today because he says he needs to talk. So keep your phone next to you and text me if you need ANYTHING. I'll be back to make you dinner. Do you need anything before I leave?"

"Can I have some fever reducer medicine please?" he asks

I nod and I walk into the kitchen cabinet and I find a jar of pills I take out 2 and I fill up a bottle of water for him and I feed him the pills. He swallows them and the water and I leave the pills by his side too. "2 every 4 hours ok?"

He nods and I kiss his cheek before I walk out the door.

I was early but I went to his house. His mom opened the door

"Hey sweetie" she said hugging me. I hugged back and smiled. "You can go ahead up to Jacks room. He's in the bathroom finishing up his shower. He's the first door to the left.

I nod and I walk up. I open the door and I hear him in his bathroom singing as he showers. His bathroom is connected to his room just like mine. I sit on his bed and when he walks out with a towel around his waist he screams

"CRAP RAY YOU SCARED ME" he says holding his heart

I giggle "Sorry um want me to get out?" she asks awkwardly because he's only standing in a towel

"Naw it's fine. I'm just grabbing My clothes then I'm gonna change" he says

I nod and I sit on his bed as he goes back into the bathroom. He comes out 5 minutes later in a black t shirt, kaki shorts, black basketball socks and slip on sandals.

"Ready?" he asks

I nod and I follow him downstairs and we get in his car. He pulls out and he gets on the highway.

----Jacks POV----

I really need to talk to her today at lunch. I'm kind of scared though. I like Ray. I like Ray a lot. Tasia and I weren't doing so well so I broke up with her last night. Ray doesn't know that though. Was it a mistake introducing them? It doesn't matter know. I dumped Tasia and I'm on my way to a lunch date with the love of my life.

----Ray's POV-----

I look over at Jack driving and he seems to be deep in thought.

"Jack?" I ask

He jerks back to reality "Oh hey um yeah?" he says

"Nothing" I laugh "You just looked so deep in thought"

He nods "Yeah I guess I was"

He pulls into Panera Bread. I step out and walk in with him

"I'm paying so what would you like babe?" he says

Babe? Did he really just call me babe? Oh my gosh babe? 

"Uh um a chicken penini with a small lemonade please" I tell him

He orders a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with a large Pepsi.

"Thank you" I say smiling

"Anything for you lovely" he says

We grab our treys and we sit down at a table by the window

"A peanut butter and jelly?" I ask chuckling a little

He looks down at his sandwich then up at me "Forever Young" he says making the fierce hand sign against his face

I laugh eating mine

"Um there's something I have to tell you" he says not making eye contact with me.

"Yeah?" I say looking up

"I broke up with Tasia last night" he says

My jaw drops "Oh I'm sorry you guys were really happy together"

He nods and takes small bites from his sandwich "Yeah. I guess it just wasn't meant to be"

I nod eating mine. We both finish and we walk back out to his car. I get in my seat and he gets in his. We drive to Sky Zone which is a huge trampoline place. I loved coming here when I was younger. We go in and I start doing tumbling passes on the trampoline.

"Woah Ray your good" Jack says watching me

"Thanks. I used to cheer but I quit after the divorce" I reply.

Jack attempts a back flip but he falls. He gets up and laughs.

We jump around and flirt for awhile. He even kisses me. After awhile we're tired to he drives us home.

----Jacks POV----

I want to ask her out. Another reason I broke up with Tasia was so I can date Ray. She's perfect. Flawless. Beautiful. I just need to find the right time. I drive her back home and I walk her to her door step. We hug good bye and I give her a quick peck on the lips and I go to my house. Today was honestly a great day.

----Ray's POV----

He walked me up to my door and kissed me goodbye. He's amazing but i doubt there'll ever be an "us" he just broke up with Tasia and he needs some recovery time. They were really happy together.

Sorry this chapter ended so abruptly. The next chapter Is my favorite out of all of them ;)
