Hurricane Prep

---Ray's POV---

I woke up around 7 to the sound of heavy rain hitting the window. I got out of bed and looked out over towards the public beach and there were huge storm clouds coming in from overseas.

I went into Brooklyn's room and she was sound asleep so I went back to bed.

When I officially got up around 8 Jack was showering so I stayed in bed and went through twitter and Instagram. I have 43k Instagram followers and 109k twitter followers. I liked some fan edits of Jack, Brooklyn and I and then re tweeted and favorite some tweets.

Jack came out and said good morning and got dressed then walked to the kitchen to make coffee.

"There's supposed to be some pretty wicked storms" Jack says.

I nod "Yeah it was storming pretty badly earlier"

"The best we can do is wait it out and board up the windows" he says pouring Brooke some orange juice for when she wakes up.

"You and the boys should do that after breakfast. Kade can help" I say sipping my coffee.

Jack nods as Brooklyn comes downstairs. 

"Daddy mommy the trees are pretty much gone" She squeals.

"I know honey theres supposed to be a big scary storm but Uncle Kade daddy and the ohter boys are going to get the house ready for it" I say picking her up. 

She wiggles out of my arms and she runs back up into her bedroom. 

Jack gives me a confused look and we both go chase after her. 

"Brookey" Jack yells as we chase after her. 

We find her sitting in the corner of her bedroom crying.

"Brooke whats wrong?" i ask picking her up the  sitting her up on my lap. 

"I dont want to say" she says trying to wiggle out of my grip. 

I hold onto her a little tighter but not trying to hurt her. "Cmon tell us. We wont make fun of you. You can tell mommy and daddy absoutley anything"

She sits in silence trying to avoid eye contact with us, tears streaing down her face. "My old mommy oushed me into a bad storm and locked me outside. All the trees were blowing around me and I couldn't see anything. My mom wouldnt open up the back door so I was outside for a few hours" 

My eyes well up with tears as I pull her into a hug. I can't believe the monster who'd do this to Brooklyn. What a beast. "Baby we'd never do that t yo. I promise you that with all my will power and love."

Jack stays silent staring out the window.

She wipes away her tears and she hugs me and Jack.

"Want to come downstairs and help daddy make breakfast?" Jack asks.

Brooke nods as Jack picks her up and carries her downstairs. 

I walk down a few minutes later and everyones up and sitting in the kitchen talking. 

"Morning" I say to everyone smiling.

Everyone all smiles and says goodmorning back.

Brooklyns sitting on the counter by Jack helping him pour the pancake batter into the pan.

"Careful dont burn yourself"  I say looking over at them. 

Jack nods and Brooke keeps helping. 

i walk over to the coffee pot and I pour myself a cup.

"Kade did Jack tell you about boarding up the windows?" I ask drinking my coffee.

He nods "Yeah."

All the other boys nod too.

"Ouch!' I hear Brooklyn yelp.

I stand up and I rush over. She's holding her pinky finger and its red and puffy in a section and the puffiness is shaped like the pancake pan. "Did you burn yourself?"

She nods yes. I glare at Jack and I pick up Brooklyn carrying her to the bathroom.

I set her dow on the sink and I apply some burn oitment to her finger "Sweetie you have to be more careful" I say.

She nods as I kiss her boo boo (dont judge) and I carry her into the kitchen again. Im pretty POed at Jack because if he was just a bit more careful this wouldnt of ever happened in the first place.

"Is my honey ok?" Janet asks reaching for her.

I nod handing her over Jack keeps making pancakes like nothing happened. Douchebag.

We all eat breakfast.

"Ray can you pass me the syrup please?' Jack asks from across the table. Still like nothing happened.

I grab the syrup and I (with attitude) slide it across the table. 

He gives me an odd look but I keep eating.

Soon when breakfast is done everyone goes back to their bedrooms/bathrooms to brush their teeth, shower etc. 

"Ray can I give Brooklyn a bath?" Kade asks.

I turn to Brookyln "Do you want Uncle Kade to give you bath?" 

She nods and smiles as Kade picks her up and carries her to the bathroom and shuts the door behind him.

Im doing dishes as Jack come sup behind me and kisses my cheek. I push him away.

"Babe?" he asks.

"No Jack go away." 

"Baby" he keeps saying with his hands on my waist.

I drop a dish in ths sink with a crash and I turn around. Irritated. "Jack get the hell away from me right now. I dont want to talk to you"

He looks surprised "Um whats gotten into you?" 

"The hell Jack? You burned Brooklyn when I told you to be more careful. Shes hurt"

He scoffs "YOU HONESTLY THINK I PURPOSELY WANTED THAT TO HAPPEN TO OUR DAUGHTER? IT WAS AN ACCIDENT AND I DIDNT MEAN FOR IT TO HAPPEN"

I just look at him. He seems sincerely sorry. I walk up to him and I hug him "Babe I'm so so sorry"

He hugs back kissing the top of my forehead "Don't worry about it"

We pull away and he helps me finish the dishes as everyone comes back out from their morning routines. I go off and do mine.

sorry it ended So abruptly and I'm also sorry for not updating in like forever.  I'll update as much as possible but my tablets pretty hard to type on but I'm getting the hang of it and Im doing my best. I get my phone back August 7th so I'll update a wholeeee lot more. Also when I get it back I have a big announcement to make so yes. ily all keep being awesome
