Seungcheol gently nudges the prince. "Your highness, we're going to rest at an inn tonight. We will continue traveling tomorrow, please wake up so we can move inside." The prince only swats his knight's hands away, making Seungcheol sigh audibly. He wondered how the prince was able to sleep so much.
Seungcheol decided to just carry the younger man bridal-style. It seemed the prince didn't care.
The coachman was a little surprised, but it was the prince, so he did his best not to care too much.
"You both should sleep in a separate room from me. Since the prince looks like he will be needing your assistance which doesn't involve me or my prying eyes. Not to worry, Knight Choi, I will pay for my own." The coachman smiles and Seungcheol was a little surprised, and a lot happy. Seungcheol got their room after the coachman did, taking the prince there and glaring at anyone who glanced their way with obvious confusion and/or curiosity. The prince was, of course, covered well with Seungcheol's cape.
Once they arrived at the room, Seungcheol put the prince down after making sure the door was locked and he muttered something that Seungcheol, unfortunately, heard.
"Mingyu.."
Seungcheol's face paled.
Mingyu? The chef..?

It had only been a few days since Jeonghan last saw Mingyu at one of their 'night getaways', and it had only been a few days since he told Mingyu he was the prince.
It was funny, Jeonghan ran from home that night, planning on leaving the kingdom forever. Feeling tired as ever. He came across a tall man, though, a tall man named Mingyu. Jeonghan had tried to steal from him, a simple cook, because he was unable to head to the kitchen before he had packed all his things.
Little did he know, the taller man would steal back something the prince once thought was unimportant; the prince's heart.
When Mingyu, the man who had stayed up because he wanted to try and create a dish or anything that would attract more customers, caught Jeonghan, all he did was smile. Jeonghan was especially confused when Mingyu handed him more than what Jeonghan wanted. He wondered if Mingyu knew that Jeonghan was the prince. Or if Mingyu was just being dumb. Playing dumb to mess with him..?
"You look like you're in a rush, stranger." Mingyu headed out to meet face to face with the other man, his smile still evident. Why was he being so kind to the man that was just trying to steal from him? Jeonghan would find out later that Mingyu was too busy helping out at home to really be focused on royalty and such. It wasn't like Jeonghan went out much, either. "Yeah. I suppose so.." Jeonghan was uncomfortable, and very confused.
"Why were you running, if you don't mind me asking?" Mingyu had asked that night, probably talking about how Jeonghan was rushing, but hearing the word 'running' seemed to have triggered something in the prince's heart. Resulting in Jeonghan pouring his heart out and Mingyu just panicking.
After that first meeting, they'd meet a lot during odd hours of the night, chatting about the weirdest of things. Jeonghan forgot about everything bad when he was with Mingyu. Sometimes Jeonghan would come by later than usual, his mother deciding to 'visit' him later than usual too. Mingyu always comforted the other man when he cried.
The first night Jeonghan came to him with bruises on his cheeks – Mingyu had kissed him. And Jeonghan liked it. Which started a lot more secrecy with a lot of happiness.
It all changed, though, when Jeonghan told Mingyu who he really was.
Jeonghan remembered those words clearly, and sometimes they'd just be the only thing that came into mind when Mingyu entered the room to serve him the delicious food he always loved.
"I-I don't know if we should continue this, your highness."
Mingyu was worried and scared. Jeonghan remembered his chest hurting a little when he heard 'your highness' leave Mingyu's lips. Jeonghan understood the other man's fears and agreed, even giving the man a job at the palace, though he selfishly just wanted to throw everything away to be with the taller man.
He knew Mingyu wouldn't just throw all he had away for one man he didn't even properly know, apparently.
He guessed it was just not the right time.
But when was the right time? Who was his right time?

Seungcheol sat at the edge of the prince's bed, his eyes trained on the wall as the prince shifted uncomfortably in his sleep. Seungcheol wanted to hold and comfort him, but he was a little busy in his own thoughts.
He glanced at his prince, who looked like he was having a nightmare. Seungcheol knew about the prince's nightmares, but never seen one where he mentioned Mingyu. Seungcheol didn't want to admit it, but he was falling for the prince. Hard.
Seungcheol didn't know why.
The prince was so cold, and so confusing. But.. maybe it was that? Maybe that was what attracted the knight to his prince? The fact that he wanted to be there long enough for the prince to direct that beautiful smile towards him? The fact that he wanted to figure the prince out?
Seungcheol reached out hesitantly, intwining his fingers with the younger man's, the younger man tensing in his sleep.
"When..?" The prince whispered, his voice quivering, a tear escaping his closed eye.
"When will I get my own right time?"
Seungcheol wondered if the prince was awake, but apparently not. The prince, after saying those words, had relaxed. He was sleeping soundly now. Seungcheol got up and was about to head to his bed, but the prince had tightened his grip around his knight's hand. Subconsciously or not, Seungcheol couldn't care.
So he sat there, shifting closer to the prince, swearing that he was going to protect the prince no matter what it took.
And that he was going to have the prince.
No matter what that would take either.
"I'll be your 'right time', if you wanted.. Jeonghan."
