So, it's been a couple of weeks since my furniture arrived, and I truly love how my place is turning out. Once I put a couple of more finishing touches it will be complete. I was very thankful for Alex's help in putting this all together. I wanted to thank him personally but the most interaction we have had since that afternoon was some texting. I thought we had made a connection but I maybe it was all in my head.

I was laying across the bed watching Divorce Court with Judge Lynn Toler. My girl Ava and her wife are coming over to see how my place is set up and I'm supposed to be making dinner. I was looking at the TV trying to think of a great excuse to cancel. I wasn't in the mood to cook and I wasn't in the mood to host. It's a Friday night and all I wanted to do was lay around the house and catch up on TV shows saved on my DVR.

I have a feeling that Ava is up to something because she called last night and asked if she could bring a plus two. I didn't care and told her yeah without thinking about it. Later that night the light turned on in my head and I realized what she was doing.

Ava

I met Ava at a Starbucks my second week here. I was sitting in the Starbucks reading a newspaper (yes, I'm one of the last people that like to read the physical newspaper) when she walked in. Now I'm strictly dickly but when she walked in I couldn't help but stare. She was breathtaking. She was one of those women who commanded attention without saying a word. I watched her walk in and was amazed as the crowd of people moved out of her way while she grabbed her drink. She looked around and then started working toward me.

She walked up to my table and just took the seat next to me.

She sat her purse on the table and said, "You are so cute, and you are reading the newspaper. So very old school of you."

"Uhhh, should I say thanks?" not sure if that was a compliment or her being shady.

"Honey, that was a compliment. Where are you from?"

"I just moved here from Chicago."

"Really, I had a hot dog at Freddie's the last time I was in Chicago. What brings you down south?"

I sipped my drink hoping she get's the hint that I don't want to tell all my business to a stranger.

"She moved her chair closer to me and said, "Honey, the way you were looking at me when I walked into this place tells me you either need some pussy or a friend. And I'm guessing from the way you scrunched your face when I mentioned pussy, you need a friend."

Ever since then she has been a great friend andsomeone who I tend to share too much info with. Ava Marie Charpentier is thePresident and Chief Executive Officer of T2 Investments, one of the South'slargest investment management companies. She is a boss! Ava is married to Nennaand both are raising a beautiful teenager name Tye. The day after that firstmeeting, Ava and Nenna started to try to get me married with children. Theyhave even joined forces with Samuel to get me hitched.
