I just got up from my nap and I didn't feel any better than I did before I went to sleep. Alex was a fraud and liar. Alex made me fall into the trap of his southern charm and now I feel ridiculous. I slowly walked toward the bathroom, so I could jump in the shower. I need to get ready to host in this place that reminds me of Alex. I wish I had the money to get different furniture but since that is not possible I'm just going to have to live with it.

I checked my phone and saw that I got a text from Ava. She was just telling me that she hopes I enjoy the friend she was bringing over. I rolled my eyes and jumped in the shower. I needed to be in a good mood and maybe whoever she is bringing over will help me do that. I finished my personal grooming and went to go start cooking. As I walked into the living room I wanted to hate the furniture, but Alex made great choices and he didn't even see it. Let me focus and get this dinner started.

I got in the kitchen and made magic. The chicken and shrimp fried rice was almost done, and I had a couple of glasses of wine in my system when I heard someone knock on the door. I sat my glass down and went to the door.

"My boo!" Ava said while opening her arms for a hug.

"Hey girl." I hugged her back.

"How are you Trey?" said Nenna give me a hug and kiss on the cheek.

"I'm good. That dress is beautiful." I said stepping back to admire her flowing dress.

"Ava got it for me the last time we were in New York. I thought a celebration of your new furniture would be a great time to pull it out."

"It's more than a celebration of new furniture. It's a celebration of his new life here with us." Ava screamed from the bedroom since she just decided to give herself a tour.

I turned around to see the mystery guest but there was no mystery guest.

"I guess it will be just us tonight?" I said a little relieved.

"Oh no boo. Nolan is downstairs parking his car." Ava continued to have a conversation with us from the bedroom while we stood in the kitchen.

I whispered to Nenna, "Who is Nolan?"

"I haven't been able to get much but I do know he is a cardiothoracic surgeon at Texas Children's, graduated from Harvard then NYU Med School, owns his own house, no kids, age appropriate, has a younger brother and older sister, and it has been over a year since he has been in a relationship. That all I got, if I had more time I could have gotten more info." She said sipping on her wine.

"Dang girl, can you tell me what color underwear he has on?" I said smiling at Nenna'a ability to get information.

"Well, from what I can tell he doesn't." she said and winked at me.

"Who doesn't?" Ava said walking from the bedroom.

"Nothing. What took you so long? Don't tell me you were in the bathroom the all that time." I said trying to change the subject.

"I was looking in your closet at some of the horrendous outfits you have in there." She said grabbing a glass from the cabinet.

Before I could respond someone knocked on the door. I was interested in seeing how correct Nenna was in her description of Noland.

When I opened the door this breathtaking, pantydropping, chocolate drop, African God of a man was standing in front of me andI almost put Ava and Nenna out, so I could figure out how I could have this man'sbaby.
