I was called into this meeting right after Ty let me know he was heading to the restaurant to grab a drink. Damn, I know Trey isn't good at lying so I know I was caught. I tried to focus on what some of the junior associates was trying to tell me, but the truth was I was only half listening. I had to take a breath and tell them to start over which put me further behind.

Once I got out of the meeting, Linda was waiting for me in front of my office with my stuff. I grabbed my stuff, thanked her for everything and rushed out the door. I was impatient because I knew the longer that Ty got to interrogate Trey the more likely Ty will be able to get me to break my promise. The elevator took its time and I rushed through the door out of the building. As I was rushing I must admit that I wasn't completely cognizant of everything around me, so it was my fault that I ran into someone. I was apologizing for not paying attention and trying to pick up my stuff.

I was picking up my stuff and I said, "Hey man, I'm sorry."

"It's no problem. I was in another world myself."

"It's cool." I said getting the last of my things, then I got up and saw it was him.

"Here you go bru." He handed me a couple of papers.

I stopped because I remember him from the pictures that Trey showed me his phone. He was Facebook stalking him and wanted me to see how good he looked. In none of his public picture was a picture of his husband. There were a lot of him alone and some spiritual quotes. The pictures didn't do the brother justice, but I remember the pain that Trey felt when he saw the wedding ring.

"You okay?" Alex said. I realize I was just standing there and had let the papers fall from my hand. I was angry, but I had to play it cool because he didn't know who I was.

"Yeah, I'm good. You just look familiar."

"Oh okay. You sure you are okay?" He said bending down to pick up my papers again.

"Yeah, I'm good. Thanks, and sorry again for bumping into you." I said sticking the papers in the pocket of my briefcase.

"No worries. Don't rush, life should be savored." He said starting to walk away.

I ignored the comment and started walking to the restaurant. Seeing that grimy ass dude made me feel a certain way. I just wanted to fuck him up, but I couldn't do that especially in front of my job. I slowed down so that I wouldn't be sweaty and so that I can clear my head. Now I'm starting to regret inviting Trey to help me out because now I got to try not to let him know I saw Alex.

I was about to open the restaurant door when I got a text from Ty saying, "I got you."

Fuck, I know Trey told him. I walked into the restaurant and instead of seeing two people at our table I saw three. For a slight second I thought I fucked up and I should have just come clean with Ty. Maybe I should have been even more open and honest about my intentions for us. As I walked to the table Ty saw me and Trey's back was to the door.

I mouthed to Ty, "Who is that?"

He mouthed back, "It's the new Trey" then shook his head and smiled.

When I got to the table I took a second to stare and wonder at the new Trey. This Trey seemed loose, funny, happy and just enjoying life. This new Trey was also probably drunk.

I bent over and gave Ty a kiss and that is when Trey noticed me.

"Hey best friend, I want you to meet my new friend Ely." That is when I noticed the two empty glasses in front of Trey.

"Hey best friend" then I looked at the mystery new guy who I guess is Ely. I reached my hand out, "Nice to meet you Ely, I'm Sam."

This incredible hulk who probably was a little too lit almost broke my hand when he gripped it. "Hey Sam, nice to meet you too. Any friend of Trey is a friend of mine."
