Michel glared at Erik as the man lay on the bed, his gaze on the wall. He refuses to look at Michel because he knows.

"What the fück is wrong with you?" Michel barks as he stared at his Alpha who still refuses to look at him. Michel is tempted to grab Erik by his collar and shake some sense into him.

"You hurt his feelings." Se Ju adds, walking closer to the bed.

"Yeah well, he hurt mine too." Erik says. "I had dreams about him and I missed him. How can I feel what I am feeling when don't even know who he is? When I see different things at every turn. I kept seeing his blue eyes everywhere, only for me to wake up and see something different."

"That still doesn't give you the right to call him a freak."

Erik finally tears his eyes away from the wall and turns to look at his two closest friends. "I know it doesn't but it just came out."

"You have to apologize to him. I don't know what this would do to you both." Se Ju reprimands. Erik's brows furrow in confusion as the doctor begins to pace. "You've done everything wrong."

Erik growls, baring his teeth. Se Ju and Michel take a step back in fear. "What do you mean?"

"Did you even notice he had your scent? You were just lead by your pheromones and it has done more harm than good, in this case."

Erik frowns as he tries to remember what Cobie had smelt like but he couldn't. Had he truly been blinded by pheromones? Even f, it couldn't be possible because pheromones aren't usually so intense. So what aren't Michel and Se Ju telling him?

"What do you mean? You both have refused to tell me anything. The only thing you've done for the past half hour was check my pulse, conduct a few tests and yell at me for talking to Cobie that way. I know what I did was wrong and I'll apologize, I cross my heart and all the other stuff. But you have to fill me in."

Michel and Se Ju look at each other. They both know, Erik and Cobie would find out either way but was Erik ready to hear this now? Was this the right time to say anything?

"We found out why you and Cobie experienced that intense-"

"Wait, Cobie went through the same thing I did?"

"Much worse." Michel replies.

"He died."

Erik sits up at that. He stared at his friends with wide red eyes. By the steadiness of their heartbeats, he knew they weren't lying and something indescribable runs down his spine, making him shiver with fear.

"What do you mean he died?" the question was barely audible over his angry growl. He felt satisfied when he sees the way Se Ju and Michel shake lightly.

"I tried to find the cause of your pain. I called a couple of colleagues and asked around, I checked the internet but I couldn't find anything. It took a couple of days but I finally had the idea to check your office, maybe I'd find something there." Se Ju speaks.

"What does this have to do with Cobie and his death?"

"We found clippings of journal entries in one of the journals in your office. The Alpha had written a couple of things down." Se Ju continues. Michel moves forward and hands Erik the book they had found in his office. Erik takes the book and lets his eyes feast on the words written on delicate sheets of paper. Se Ju and Michel watch the Alpha, the two of them taking a step backwards just in case this goes south in a way and Erik ends up getting pissed for reasons known only to him.
