Areum huffed as she took one of the boxes from the trunk, waddling as she moved towards her new home. "Come on, honey. You can do it" her father mockingly cheered her on as he strolled past her with with ease, two large boxes in his arms, carrying them as if they were as light as a feather.
When she finally reached the house she let out a long, slightly pained groan. She closed her eyes and laid down on a cluster of boxes. "That's it. I'm dead. I'm deceased. I have passed. My soul has moved on. My life has ended. My eternal resting place has been found-" she rambled on, only stopping when she heard a laugh. She opened one eyelid, seeing her dad standing in front of her with a smile on his face. "Tired?" he asked, gaining a weak nod from his daughter.
"Areum, if you're so exhausted from carrying the boxes to the house, maybe you could unpack the kitchen?" he offered. Areum jumped at the opportunity to stay inside. Her father laughed again before he went back outside to the truck.
"Time to make the kitchen a kitchen" she sang as she tried to pick up one of the many boxes with 'KITCHEN' written on it. As she tried, she fell backwards on her butt, huffing in frustration.
"Dad! I'm calling Hyuck!" she yelled out, getting an 'Ok!' as a response.
She quickly opened her phone and started calling the boy.
"Queen! How ya been?!" Eunhyuck's voice rang through her device.
"You wanna come over and help us move the boxes?"
"Wait? You're here? Like, right now?"
"Sweetie, I told you last night"
"TEXT ME THE ADDRESS IM COMING OVER!"
Areum couldn't help but giggle at her friend.
"Yeah, ok. See ya in a bit"
She quickly sent him the address before trying to find a lighter box to carry.
"So, is my favourite child coming over?" Areum's father leaned against the wall, finding amusement at the view of his daughter eyeing each and every box, trying to find the smallest. "I'm offended" she said without even looking up, making her dad laugh.
Not even a minute later, there was screaming and loud footsteps at the front of the house. "The Kim's! I am here!" Eunhyuck's puffed out voice made Areum laugh as she ran over to hug him.
"My main bitch!" she jumped on him, giggling as he twirled her around. "How are you sweetie?" he asked as he put the girl down, "Just as good as the last time we spoke" she laughed.
Eunhyuck looked at her weirdly, "Really? I would've thought you'd have already carved your name into your grave after lifting a box" he smiled sweetly, gaining a laugh from Mr Kim, "She's already declared herself dead, Hyuck" the man continued to laugh loudly. The two both gained a hit from Areum, "The amount of disrespect I have received today is totally upsetting" she huffed, throwing her arms in the air like a child having a tantrum.
