Areum wandered into her home room, the eyes of all the students falling on her. The teacher smiled warmly as she gestured for Areum to come closer.

"You must be Miss Kim" the lady said. Areum nodded and bowed, gaining the gesture back. "If you'd like to introduce yourself" the teacher nodded towards the rest of the class, the girl nodding again.

"Hello. My name is Kim Areum and I just moved to Seoul from Daegu. Please look after me" she tried to look as happy as she could, knowing that each pair of eyes in the room were on her. The amount of attention she was receiving kinda freaked her out. "Areum, go and sit next to Taeyong" the teacher said.

The girl followed her instructions and sat in the empty seat next to an obviously artificial red-head who's jaw was nearly touching the ground as he stared at her with his hand raised. "You ok?" she awkwardly chuckled, hoping the kid would stop staring.

He shook his head slightly as if his soul was returning to his body. "Oh sorry, you just... you remind me of a girl I know" he scratched the nape of his neck as he looked down at the top of his desk.

"Actually... I think I do know you" Areum's eyes were squinted as she looked at the boy. It's not everyday that you see someone with hair as deep a red as his.

Taeyong smiled, thinking that she had recognised him from his profile picture.

"Aren't you the kid that nearly ran me over this morning?"

Taeyong's eyes grew, showing more white than any other colour as he chocked on nothing.

"Th-that was my girlfriend. I apologise. I would've said something earlier but I couldn't see you around the halls" he bowed his head, expecting for her to be angry, but surprisingly she laughed.

"It's not that big a deal, it wasn't you anyway. It was more my friend who was angry"

Taeyong let out a relieved sigh, thankful that his first time interacting with her didn't anger her; that much at least.

"I promise to apologise to Eunhyuck, if I see him today"

"Oh, you know Hyuck?" Areum's eyes were doe-like as she looked at Taeyong, the topic of her friend making her a smidge happier.

"Of course! We went to the same elementary and middle school" Taeyong smiled at the girl, unable to hold it in.

"Do you by any chance have... umm... do you have kakaotalk?" the red-haired boy smiled, oozing with awkwardness.

"Uhhh. Yeah. Why?" she replied, praying that he wasn't about to ask for her id.

"It's just... do you know a guy with the username taebreezesniffer?"

"Oh my g! You know taebreeze too?"

"Umm... I'm taebreeze" he said awkwardly.

"The rich kid?"

"I mean... we kinda all are here, but yes"

"The pretty one with the clingy girlfriend?"

The boy's eyes widened as the words left her mouth as if they were nothing. His head spun around a couple times, seeing no one eavesdropping dropping he left out a sigh. "You can't just say stuff like that" he chuckled in relief.

"Sorry, I meant your 'very pretty and perfect' girlfriend" Areum smiled at Taeyong, making the boy let out a little giggle over how cute she looked.

"You're like a child" he laughed, holding himself back from squishing her cheeks.

Taeyong looked Areum up and down, her legs taking up more space than what he expected they would. "You're tall?" The words left Taeyong with a surprised tone, his eyebrows furrowed slightly as he looked back at Areum. The girl's lips made a thin line as she nodded. "Did you think I'd be small?" she asked and Taeyong slowly nodded as if he'd get in trouble for his answer.

Areum raised an eyebrow, her once cute and unthreatening face becoming the opposite with the single adjustment.

"I mean... pfft, of course I didn't think you were short. Noooooo" the words left Taeyong's mouth extremely sarcastically, making Areum laugh.
