"Jared!" Heather screams, looking murderously at the guy next to me.

"Wait a second, you're Jared? Heather's brother?" I look at him in a new light, he's apart of this fraternity, no wonder he was so nice to me. I inch away from him as Heather stomps over to us in her stilettos.

"Sadly, that would be correct," he grimaces, preparing for the worst as his sister stands toe to toe with him, towering over him in her heels.

"Where the fuck is Aaron? What did you make him do?!" She screeches, her eyes glazing over with malice.

"Heather, calm down. There are people outside still and they can hear you." He gestures to the yard below and I look over and see several faces are turned up towards us.

"I don't care if they hear me, it's your stupid rule that's made him leave. Now, where is he?" She huffs angrily, putting her hands on her hips.

"Relax, I just... sent him on a little errand." Jared shrugs, not meeting his sister's eyes.

"A little errand as in what?" Her eyes narrow as Jared rubs his neck awkwardly.

"I sent him downtown to... recruit more girls to come to our party."

"Okay... and?"

"And I sort of dared him to strip naked in front of Summit." Jared rapidly says, turning away from Heather completely.

"You did what?! Jared! He could get arrested for that!" Heather shrieks, her shrill voice seeming like it carries on for miles.

"It should be fine, he only left like a half hour ago," Jared says, pulling his phone out to check the time.

"It's not fine. He's not answering his phone! God dammit Jared, I thought for once you would be nice to me and let my boyfriend and me get by with a pass, but no you had to be the usual asshole you always are." Heather sneers, turning on her heel to walk away.

"Heather, come on. It's just a joke." He pleads, rushing after her and grabbing her arm.

"It's not a joke. You push things too far, Jared. It's fucking ridiculous and immature." She recoils from his touch, giving him a look of resentment. He steps back, surprised and a hurt look on his face.

"Heather..."

"Just leave me the fuck alone while I go find my boyfriend." With that, Heather stalks away, her heels clicking furiously on the wood floor.

"Damn, that's harsh," I say, unaware of what else there could possibly be to say.

"Yeah, well that's Heather for you. I should probably go help her, honestly." Jared says, sighing and putting his hands over his head.

"I'll come with you." I offer, considering Heather is my new friend as well.

"You will?" Jared's brown eyes light up in surprise, probably unaware that I showed up here with her in the first place.

"Yeah, but first I need to find my friend Natalie. She's about yay-high, red hair."

"Got it, I'll meet you out front when you find her," Jared says, pointing to the door that leads back into the fraternity.

"Okay, sounds good." I walk over to the door and push it open, the music still blaring and the smell of sweating bodies still present. I walk down the stairs, Jared still behind me, but once we reach the landing, we split up. Right away, I attempt to look for Natalie's most distinct trait, her hair. However, it's hard to find someone's hair color when the light's are constantly changing colors. I start to push through the crowd of people, their loud singing voices ringing in my ears. I come around the corner and then that's when I see her, standing on top of a table, dancing and singing her heart out to God's Plan by Drake.

And as well as she's drunk off her ass.

"Natalie! Natalie! Come on, it's time to go." I say, dragging her off the table. People boo me as I pull her off the table, but it's okay, I'd rather have them boo me than have Natalie do something she regretted.

"Melanieeeee! Where have you been?" She giggles, clutching at my arms as they hold her up.

"Around. Now come on, Heather needs our help," I say, doing my best to lead her through the crowd of people.

"That's funny!" Natalie is laughing hysterically now, barely able to keep up with the pace I'm setting. As she continues to babble nonsense and laugh uncontrollably, I finally manage to get her outside where Jared is waiting for us.

"Holy shit, she is smashed," Jared says, looking up from his phone.

"I know, you can thank your party for that," I reply, grimacing at Natalie as she almost falls over.

"You sure it's a good idea we take her with us?" Jared is cringing too, as he watched Natalie pick up a dandelion and place it on top of my head.

"I'm the only one she's got around here so far, so yes. We have to bring her." I pull the dandelion off my head and throw it back on the ground, all the while Jared staring at us with amusement and horror at the same time.

"Okay, well I just called us an Uber, so I guess we'll be going soon anyway."

"Fantastic," I say as Natalie barfs into a nearby bush.

"You're hotttt." Natalie says for the thousandth time in a row, as Jared and I keep her from going into random stranger's arms.

"Your friend is a real character here, you know," Jared says, as we round the corner by the downtown bar, Summit.

"Natalie is just drunk. She's usually... a lot more stubborn." I say, unable to give Jared a true description of Natalie at the moment.

"Interesting," Jared replies, eyeing Natalie up and down and she starts to laugh wildly. We arrive in front of Summit and I start to head towards the back of the line, just as Jared motions for me to come to the front.

"Jared," I hiss, "I don't have a fake ID, and I'm certainly not old enough."

"It's fine I got this," he gestures to the bouncers, giving Natalie a wink as she smiles at him while basically hanging off my shoulder. Jared leaves us and steps up to the bouncer, talking to him really quiet. The bouncer nods a couple times and then shakes Jared's hand, who's grinning. He walks back over to us and gives us a thumbs up, motioning for us to follow him. I sling Natalie's arm over my shoulder and practically drag her into Summit.

When we first walk in, it's just like any other bar, except one thing. Aaron is standing stark naked on the bar, waving his pants around. And Heather... Heather is actually cheering him on.

"What the actual fuck?" Jared says, smirking softly.

"What?" I ask, trying to peer over his shoulder.

"He actually did it. I thought he'd wimp out." Jared laughs, "And Heather is totally digging it." He crosses his arms over his chest, clearly satisfied with himself.

"Yes, haha this is hilarious. But we came all this way for nothing." I reply, rolling my eyes in annoyance at the drama of this whole situation.

"Oh it's fine, everything worked out. Besides, this is more adventurous this way." He grins at me again before walking over to Heather and putting his arm around her shoulder, who in return gives him a sheepish smile. I sigh and decide to head over too, bringing Natalie along with me.

"Hey, Melanie!" Heather says, turning to face me. "I'm sorry I left. I needed to get out of there."

"Don't worry about it, look, can you watch Natalie, she's super drunk right now and I need to go to the bathroom." I gesture to Natalie, who's basically already attached herself to Jared.

"Yeah, sure. I got her." Heather nods at me, her blonde ponytail slightly coming out.

"Thanks," I say, I start to make my way over to the bathroom when a something catches my eye. Or rather a certain someone. His eyes were piercing blue, his face is sullen and his gaze is fixated on the drink he holds in his hand.

Nick Baxter.
