================================3rd Person POV
Lesley's in her fourth and final year of high school
People told her those were supposed to be the best and most dramatic time of her life.
They were definitely unforgettable
However, her past years here were known to her as the worst years of her life
She was bullied, and she was bullied bad
It started the middle of her first year, when the incident happened, up until now
She was not bullied for her looks or anything like that, she was bullied for something she 'done' that she never really did.
It was one hell of an accusation too, they thought she killed her best friend. When in all reality, her best friend killed themself
It just so happened to be that she was right there to try to save them
People blamed her for their death, saying that she didn't try hard enough or that she meant for that to happen
The news circulated around the campus, and well...the story got tampered with
She couldn't believe how people would think that she killed the one and only person that tried to get close to her
She grew depressed about their death and everything else
Her once cheerful face had turned into a stoic face with no emotion decipherapble
She couldn't really do anything about the stories they tell about her, if she tried to talk about the truth they would only say that she was just 'lying' to cover up the 'crime'
So she stood silent with no comment about it whatsoever
She thought about her bestfriend everyday, going to their grave twice every week
She communicated with them through letters she put into a white balloon and letting them go to float up and out of sight
She never knew why, considering she thought about the logic that the balloon would probably one day descend and someone would be able to read her letter
But she didn't care, it's the thought that counts
Good thing their parents don't believe the rumors, they even offered to help her since she had no one to lean on but her sibling
Right now, she only had her brother to get her by
Their parents were dead because of a car accident
If it weren't for him, her heartbeat probably would have flat-lined a long time ago
But there was this other person,
It was a sweet old lady on the street that Lesley would always go by to drop her any food she had since she needed it more than herself
The old lady always managed to make her smile, even if it was just a little
After a tiring day from school, she got to her part-time job
Lesley worked a little later than usual, the streets were dark since most of the shops closed up
