Okay...so this is going to be slightly hard to explain XD, I sorta ran out of reasons

Set in a AU that I made? I don't know if anyone else has the same idea..

This is going to be part one of a magical/human with advantages x a clueless person that does not have an idea on how much they're important to other XD,confusing?

3rd Person POV

There Gusion was, on the hot air balloon he's always ridden

Looking down to the Earth melancholically as he sighed

'9 lives.9 chances.Last one'

He was about to go back to the clouds, the heavens where he was brought back by the god of life, Phanes

He was awaken after death

Seemingly still 'alive' as he stood infront of a god

Phanes said to him in a solemn tone, "I pity you boy, you had a life with so much more potential that you did not realize"

Gusion had a rough life honestly, orphan at birth, bullied at the orphanage, adopted but treated as a slave until he grew to get used to it

He was sold to actual slavery then, but before they could ship him off he didn't let them by ending it himself

Phanes continued, "You did not live your life to it's fullest potential. I should mention it was supposed to be the last out of all nine."

He looked down in shame but he couldn't really blame himself for being born into a life he didn't want or ask for

"You were a coward. But I will give you a chance to redeem your lost potential and make it to use"

They waved their hand and summoned a yellow whisp that formed a circle

They made it go over to him as he absorbed it. Now having it's faint yellow glow emmit from his body

"You are given the gift of immortality"
They said

"If you manage to do one specific life of your choosing good in the world, you are to keep it. If not, you are to be stripped of this ability"

He nodded at them before requesting to be sent down to the Earth

He was given the hot air balloon as the only way to travel back and forth without suspicion of mortal eyes

He did manage to find someone he deemed worthy to do good to, her name was Lesley

He was wandering around the Earth when he suddenly met her

They had a connection and decided to develop it, soon it grew to having romantic feelings for one another

There was a question he never answered when she asked him, that question was 'How old are you?'

He never answered because he didn't know how to. He stopped aging at 29 but has been immortal for about 50 or so years now

Everything was amazing honestly, but there was something that struck both of them

Her death

She was diagnosed with the plague and Gusion pleaded the doctors to save her, but her soul was eventually taken by the reaper
