"it's fine we made a plan just in case this ever happened" i grabbed my emergency bag that's already packed

"you tell them you're staying here with the boys and no one has heard from me. im going to leave out the back door. ill be back later tonight when i know they still aren't looking" i say

veronica hugged me quickly

"be safe" she smiled

i grabbed my stuff and headed out the back door and took the trail behind the pool that leads you off the property

i pulled out my phone and sent grayson a text

cops showed up at the house
i have to stay far away till tonight

i waited for a response but got nothing

i swung the door open again

"can i help you officers?"

"we're looking for your friend alexa. we've been told she's staying here" the taller man said

"sorry but i think you got the wrong house" i say calmly, showing no signs of fear

"we have confirmed statements from people saying she's been at all the party's you have thrown here" the other said

i chuckled

"a lot of people come to my party's"

they both shifted on their feet

"who owns this house anyway?" one said and the other lowered his eyebrows

"it's under my father's name, but i am the secondary owner. my names on the papers if you want to check. or you could try tracking down my dad and his new family but i think that would be a little difficult on your part. oh but if you do find him, tell him to go fuck himself. have a nice day" i smiled and shut the door

i grabbed my phone and texted alexa telling her that they were gone

the sun started to move down in the sky as i walked down the side streets towards town. i watched as people walked in and out of restaurants and stores

i stopped in front of the local diner which was grayson and Is favorite spot to get milkshakes

i looked in through the window and saw grayson, ethan and jordan eating in a booth. they were laughing and smiling. i couldn't figure out if it made me incredibly happy or miserable, felt like a mix of both

i continued walking but stopped when i thought i saw a familiar face walking towards me

"stefan?" i asked

"hey big sis, you miss me?"
