"stefan! what are you doing here? how did you find me?" i asked giving him a huge hug

"i got off my flight, didn't even call mom. i needed to try finding you" he smiled

"how was england? i'm sorry i haven't called i've been busy"

"busy being a runaway" he laughed "the phone works both ways though i'm sorry i never reached out to you" he said

"it's totally fine" i was so happy to see him. i missed him so much even though it's partly my fault he went to boarding school.

"wanna grab some food? i need to talk to you about something important" he asked

we walked down the busy street trying to find a place to get food. we ended up at in & out burger. we ordered and sat in a booth.

"listen i know that you helped mom send me away" he said

my stomach felt inside out

"i get why you did though, and i want to thank you" he finished

"really? you're not mad at me? i just know how bad growing up with our mom was and i didn't want you to have to deal with it too"

"yeah i can see how crazy she is. i've been reading and watching everything all the way from england. i'm just sorry you had to deal with it. thank you for helping me" he said

"you're welcome" i smiled at him

"but now it's my turn to help you" he says

i was confused

"with?" i tilted my head

"alexa you can't run forever"

"yeah i know that but i'm almost 18"

"is this really how you want to live? we could leave, start over, the both of us" he suggests

"i don't know stefan"

"well if you don't leave with me i'm going to have to go back with mom and i really don't want to do that" he said "let's go back to where you're staying"

took a while to get back to the house but when we finally did i was worried about what would happen. if i don't go with my brother he will be stuck with the devil but if i go i lose the most important people in my life

i unlocked the door and everyone was sitting in the kitchen "who's this?" grayson asked

"my brother, stefan this is grayson, ethan, and veronica" i pointed them out

i didn't even wait for responses. i ran upstairs to my room and fell onto the bed. i heard the door open

"knock knock" grayson's head swung into the room

"hey"

"are you okay?" he asked

"not really. my brother needs me and i can't help him if i'm here"

"so do what you have to do, no matter where you go i'll follow you" he kissed my cheek and stood up

"i'll be downstairs"

he left the room

i walked down the staircase with my suitcase filled. i stepped onto the floor off the last step and set my bag down. everyone sitting at the island in the kitchen looked over

"i'll start the car" stefan said grabbing the keys

veronica got up and walked over to me and hugged me tight

"this isn't forever, we will see each other soon"

"you promise?" i asked

"yes" she stuck out her pinky and we pinky promised like little kids

i hugged ethan and said my goodbyes. veronica nudged ethan and they both went outside, leaving grayson and i alone

"i hate how sudden this is. we were supposed to have more time together" i cried

"wherever you go i'll find you alexa, i swear" he pulled me in close and gently placed his lips on mine, we stood there for a minute till i pulled away

"goodbye grayson"

"see you soon alexa" he smiled

i grabbed my bag and got into the car. as my brother pulled out of the driveway i watched grayson stand in the doorway

as we drove down the rode and i lost sight of him and wondered if i'd see him again soon

i smiled & reassured myself that i will defiantly see grayson again

{ sorry loves this is the end of the story! i'm so sorry it had to end so sudden and weird but tbh i don't even remember my plan for this story, that's how long ago i started this book and it's sequel.
