Chapter 15: Her Hero

A/N- This chapter involves violence- viewer discretion is advised.

"Giovanni?" I gasped. What is he doing here? He had an angry expression on his face. He walked over to Liam and punched him in his face. Liam lost his balance but got back up again. 

Liam swung at Giovanni but missed. Giovanni punched Liam in the face again but 15 times harder. You could hear his fist slamming into Liam's face. He knocked Liam out and he hit his head hard on the cement floor.

He passed me his phone. "I don't know what to say, so I'm just going to say the most cliche thing appropriate to this situation; are you girls okay?"

Kaylan was just zoned out. She was staring into space. She still looked mostly scared but I could still see a tiny bit of relief in her eyes. "Let's just say I'll survive." I knew why he passed me his phone, he wanted me to call the police. Giovanni was already untying Kaylan.

"911 what's your emergency?" A police dispatcher questioned. "Hello, my name is Jessica Adams and I am 17 years old. My friend Kaylan Williams and I have been kidnapped by a person named Liam Timothy. I do not know where I am."

"We will track where you are from your phone number. Please stay on the line. Are you and your friend able to walk at the moment?"

"Yes," I replied. "Okay please hide somewhere and don't move from that spot unless I tell you to," the woman said. I motioned for Kaylan to follow me and we hid. Giovanni stayed in front of Liam in case he woke up.

"Can you give me a description of the man?" The dispatcher questioned. I nodded my head even though the dispatcher couldn't see me. "He is a Caucasian male who has brown hair with blonde streaks. He has dark hazel eyes and straight thick eyebrows. His lips are thin and he has a wide nose. His body type is skinny but he has muscular arms. He is also 18 years old.''

If you looked at Liam without knowing him, you would think he is the sweetest guy ever. From the way his eyes sparkled in the sunlight, to how he smiled, he could melt a girls heart. He was a very attractive guy.

"Okay, police are almost at the destination, please stay where you are." Liam must've heard the sounds of the sirens in our direction because he woke up. Kaylan's breathing got heavier and I elbowed her to quiet down.

Liam tried to tackle Giovanni to the ground but he failed. Giovanni got out his knife that he used to free Kaylan and stabbed Liam's thigh.

"You are a dead man," he yelled as he attempted to take the knife out of his thigh. He held the bloody knife in his hand and waved it at Giovanni. Before he could do anything, someone busted down the door. Several officers came in the room with big guns and were yelling.

"Drop the knife," one of them yelled. "Both of you put your hands up," another one yelled. Even though Giovanni was innocent, he obliged the order. One of the officers were following the two out of the room with a gun. Liam tried to run, but an officer shot him in the foot in the process.

"Can we get up now?" I whispered to the dispatcher.

I was once again at the hospital, but this time it was a different hospital. No one was here except for a few doctors and Giovanni. "Why did you do all of this for me? You barely even know me!" I asked Giovanni.

"Well, let me tell you my side of the story," he said.

" I get to drive two beautiful girls somewhere in my car who are around my age. I found out that I'm driving them to the police station. I thought that was kind of weird, but didn't think much of it. I drop them off and the girl that I find more attractive bluntly flirts with me.

 1 hour has passed and I'm driving to a family member's house and I see you and your friend looking scared out of your life in some old car. The driver looks like he hasn't gotten any sleep in days and is driving off to the middle of nowhere.

A day has passed and I'm driving back home and I see the same guy in the same car driving in the direction of the abandoned mental institution. I want to see whats up so I keep my distance behind him so he doesn't see my car, and I follow him. He goes into the building and I wait for about 15 minutes until I go in. I hear a man talking and follow the voice and I see; you, Kaylan, and him. He has a gun pointed to Kaylan's head and you are bent down on your knees shaking, looking scared of your life. You know what happens after that."

Wow, I am so surprised. A guy who barely knows me was smart enough to crack this huge mystery and save my friend and I's lives. I got up and gave him a big hug. I melted into his broad shoulders. He had a cologne on that smelled like mint and spices.

"Liam was sentenced to 82 years in jail with no probation," Giovanni said.

I backed up from his shoulder and looked at his eyes. They were so beautiful. I licked my lips and leaned in to kiss him. The best thing is- he kissed me back.
